Grondie +1 for you bro and damn those look good...love the color (which I hear is deeper in person) and love the simplicity of the wash...perfect fit too bro...

ri0tp00f...I wouldn't advise you to get the 28s unless you like your jeans tighter...I don't have experience with the 72D yet; however, all jeans stretch and if sizing down means skin tight thighs I wouldn't recommend it because IMO it looks to feminine...I rather have it slightly looser / relaxed in the waist and fitted yet comfy when I move...

Thanks Bill'. I actually wasn't mad about these when I first bought 'em, but after a few outings they've really grown on me.

Don't size down Riot. I bought mine at my usual size, and they were a snug on the first day with a fair amount of tightness in the lap and thighs. I've worn them now about 5 times and you can see my photos that they've resigned to a pretty good shape.

thanks for the advice guys... i just don't want the jeans to be tight in the thighs but then have them look saggy in the ass! maybe i can try that thing where you sit in the tub with them on and then wear them till they dry?

tried on a pair of koffha 8bk's in 28x32 which fit me like a glove... i think my body's more suited for the koffha, so my next pair will probably be a 772 28x32 from jjdenim

When I first got them they were damn rigid and had pronounced whisker folds on the lap. Seriously, felt like they could stand on their own...and talk about tight as hell at the waist. I usually wear a 30, but these felt like a 29.

They are a lot softer after four days of wear especially around the lap. The whisker fold seemed to be getting a bit of "white tips" on my second day of wear, but now they are flattening out and just look like random striations on the lap (has anyone else experienced this?) I was hoping they were going to rip a bit and pull some 713 action and maintain the 3D whiskers, but they're just flattening out as the denim seems to be too thick...hopefully this isn't it...

glad to know though that it seems like they aren't going to rip like 713. i'd rather it not have the creases at the lap even, if possible. so it just looks like whiskers now? what are the "white tips"?

I'll post pics as soon as I can guys...stupid ass camera won't work...basically the creases are flattening out and what would have been the top of the creases has (white tips)...so it looks like thin white creases on the lap...it still looks really badass and I get compliments, but I miss the rigid, folded, "3D" creases that it originally had...

CCHEN: yea these are VERY durable and extremely versatile...really love the wash its ideal for the Fall...just kind of wanted / expected more of a wear / tear effect...

the resin coating seriously slows down any fading you're hoping for. i mean seriously. listen to others and just get some raw denim.

and the distressings will take TIME people! wearing them every day for a month wont guarantee results, so cycling through them definitely wont get them where you guys hope they will go - wear them long, hard, and for the most part 5 days a week

there is a very different behavior for when i wear washed jeans and when i wear a pair im trying to break in. i know i babied my raws for the longest time (not giving me any wear), but now i slide all over the place, wipe shit all over them, it definitely can be a liberating experience

that being said

LET your 72D hems get chewed, go skateboarding in them, slide tackle that lame dude who you do not care for

Set them FREE!

I bought a H&M Sliq ( cut similar to slammer without zipper ) Raw last year. I tried to ditress them : I wore them like 6 days a week during 1 month but it didn't fade that much. Then I decided it would be my party's pair of jean. After 2 monthes, fading and distressing were great. Now I can't wear them anymore because of many stains and (cigarets) holes but I really like the way they faded.
