I bought a pair of black Joeys at Nordstroms Rack last week but I still can't decide if I want to keep them. I like them, I just don't know how much I would wear them.

Sooooo here is me in them:


i love how stretchy they are! theyre a little long though...
but anyways, i think im gonna keep them unless i find something better. i dont have any black jeans so it's something different.

this is what i showed hil cause i figured they have a little more kick to it.



the jeans are technically not black but they are such a dark blue that it works. i think its also easier to match stuff with it cause it still has that blue tint to it, unless you're going for the sharp contrast mono look (black/white) which is very trendy this Fall.

and ofcourse, the rainbow pockets are super cute on girls!

I totally agree with that. I had a pair of the Joey's in the black and never wore them, ended up selling on Ebay. I wear a lot of dark tops and the wash is so uniform and dark, I could never find anything to match. The only thing that looked right was a white tee but it's kind of a harsh look. A dark blue or a more distressed black definitely much easier to work with imo.

Haha you all are too funny

I keep going back and forth with them... I mean I think Ive got lots of stuff that theyd look fine with but are black jeans something from like the 80/90s?! Like what people used to wear their HIGH TOPS with?! ...Haha do I make ANY sense?!

this is how i would adapt to some of the current Fall trends if i were a girl and wanted to fit black jeans into the picture...

you can definitely dress up a little more sophisticated during the Fall, especially pairing things in black, white, black, white is really hot this season if done right. finish off with a metallic handbag if you find the outfit a little too minimalist for your general taste.

makeup:

day to day: warm colors with matte lips and a little glow in the cheeks and other highlight areas give you this look that you've really had a great summer. you can play with metallic eyeshadow too like Origins Gold Standard, Peacock, Steel Magnolia, and Emerald Forest.

night out: porcelain face, red lips all the way. shimmer white nude eyes. all about the lips

oh! or get a tweed jacket. Chanel makes some of the best ones. those look so good when you're pulling off a black and white look. not to mention you'll look like the most expensive baby on the street! that cant hurt
