they are pretty, but i am not so sure about them. I am not so sure they look that great on me I also noticed that the "hole" on the right leg seems a lot bigger than i remember seeing on nakitas. Anyhow, you all be the judges and let me know what you think of them.(on me) They also are a bit big in the waist, shouldi have sized down? they have lycra in them.... BTW, ignore the obnoxious shirt from Jamaica, i had to match my son today with our jamaica shirts

and then there's the dreaded "hole" up close:

Not sure about the hole I dont' have mine yet (colettes in Nakita) but so cuteeeeeeeee!!!

You look great in them, I love the back pockets, they don't seem too big imo

I got my nakita colettes yesterday, they also have the distressing on the right knee, but it's not as severe on mine, there's no actual hole either. I would take a pic for you, but I just dropped them of at my tailor a few hours ago to get them hemmed.

i like them..they loook really nice on you

yeah you really look awesome in those!!

and I love the top as well

I'm staring at the colette nakitas I have, and the "hole" isn't even a hole. It's a distressed, vertical line (almost as if someone tried to cut through the fabric, but didn't quite make it), and it's about 2" long. Were these new when purchased? If used, maybe that's what happened during washing?

Anyway, they fit you nicely and the hole doesn't look bad from a distance. I would be concerned that it might get bigger over time.

i think they look awesome on you

Jen- they look really great on you! If I were you, and I were worried about that hole, I would have it reinforced on the inside maybe? I'd be afraid of putting my foot through it!
That pair is great on you though!

they are NWT from Nordstrom Rack. so maybe they are kinda like irregulars. The hole really bugs me because the other ones i have seen and tried on were like how yu describe. This one is bigger than the "holes" in TR's in vintage washed....

So, everyone thinks they look okay then???

thanks for the compliments

how do i have it reinforced?? something i can do?? (btw, i can't sew at all)

You can either have your tailor put a patch behind the hole (might be sorta noticeable since the hole is kinda big), or your tailor can stitch around the edges of the hole to keep them from fraying further. Overall though, they look good on you!

Ooh I like those on you. Funny how so many jeans I see on the rack and go "meh" but once I see them on a body I like them a lot.

I didn't like that pocket design when I first saw it but I think they look wonderful on you-the hole doesn't look bad at all
post #14 of 27
They look like the fit good.
The hole isn't so bad- reminds me of HAV2's.

Those look great!
I was so/so on the pockets but seeing them on you makes me want a pair now!!

They look good. I read on one of the forums that someone uses clear nail polish around the hole so that it doesn't get bigger. I would think it would make it hard or something but maybe someone around here knows more about this technique and can explain it better to you.

Those jeans look so awesome and they fit you perfectly! I love this design. If those were my jeans, I'd have my tailor double reinforce the hole so it doesn't fray too much when washed. Because I'm so clumsy, I might stick my foot through it and rip a split through the leg

I think they look great on you! You're so small and cute

I would just take them to your tailor and ask them to reinforce the hole so it won't get bigger. I think they'd just go around the perimeter of the hole with some thread, something of that nature?

How about cutting a patch, (mending cloth, thinner than a patch) and then cutting again a hole in the middle so that you cannot see it but will reinforce all around the edges???? I use a whole piece over my holes on the inside cause its white and it just looks like the strings but if I had one what would show I might try this.

That's a really good idea! Very creative!

Jennifer, they look great on you... but I know how you feel about distressing. Just send them to me and I'll take care of it for you!

You're whole outfit is so adorable!
Look absolutely perfect on you. Hole and all!
They look great on ya!!!

As for the hole I do the same as watnxt. I go and buy the iron on patch thingy in white. It works perfect. I did this to my TR Cowgirl Rainbows cause the second hole was on my upper thigh and it felt weird, like I was exposing myself to the world! it does kind of remind me of the HAV washes though like Sammie stated earlier. I love that wash on the Nakitas!!
