Hubby has muscular legs, any recommended cuts?

Aloha! I'm new here. I want to get my husband a pair of Sevens, but the problem we always have is that the waist will fit perfectly but it will fit too tight on the thighs. - He's very muscular. Are there any cuts out there that are wider in the legs than normal? If you think of any cuts in other brands, you can mention those as well. Thanks!!

Bootleg is pretty tight around the thigh, but the relaxed is actually pretty loose all around and still looks good.

Hi,

My husband has the same "problem", and a small waist, too! I can't get him into designer jeans yet -w hich is probably good because TWO of us buying them would send us to the poorhouse - but in Levi's, he wears the 569s. I tried the 529 bootcut and they looked great in the butt, but he couldn't move because of his big runner's legs.

The 569 was a good compromise.

Mens Sevens for big thighs !

The relaxed fit and they are definately roomier than the bootcut in the thigh !

I agree with gunn... I think 7FAMK in Relax fit... i have in Aruba wash and they're prob one my fav pair...

The bootcuts get really narrow in the knee, so if your husband is like myself and has tree knot knees stick with either the relaxed or str8 cuts. The relax cut has a slight bootcut to it and the str8 is as it's name implies, a straight leg.

My husband just bought a pair of 7FAM relaxed jeans and loves them. This is great b/c he doesn't like to wear tight jeans all the time. The relaxed fit is much roomier in the thighs. If he just wants to relax, these are his jeans of choice. FYI, he also bought a pair of relaxed AG's that are very roomy in the thigh area. Hope this helps.

My Husband will only were the relaxed or the A Pockets in Only 100% Cotton
They dont grap his leg and really look good on. All the jeans with the 2% stretch tend to grap his thigh as well and he says they look like girly sissy jeans on him....

I have at least somewhat muscular legs as well. Most designer denim will fit at least kind of tight in the thighs. And then its a question of how tight do you actually want your pants, how tight can you stand it, etc. One option is to get used to wearing tighter jeans. Its not so bad after you get used to it. I think that when you have muscular legs, though, it is possible to get the pants too tight on the legs, so I think the question really is "where do you draw the line on how tight is too tight."

But anyway, I second the recommendations for SFAM relaxed if you want to avoid a tight fit. Also, Earnest Sewn Hemingway is a good style. There are probably some other brands with relaxed cuts, but they're not really on my radar screen.
