I seriously doubt that. Washing isnt going to hurt. Fading is about the amount of wear on areas that get wear versus the areas that don't, and how much more ink will come out of the areas that got wear in any wash. the differential will be higher if you wear it longer. Also, I'm not going to wear these every day.
I don't care about the "wow" effect.
Sure I will wear the jeans many times before washing, but I'm not going to let them be super-nasty. Thats when they'll get washed.
Maybe I'm not a purist, but so what.
