grease stain on leather...am I screwed? :(

so.........
apparently I need about 10 ft of clearance between my purse and me when I'm eating souvlaki.

I was taking a piece of meat off the stick. The next thing I knew, it's dug into my leather purse.

I was freaking out, and still am. The stains haven't faded at all.
Any suggestions are MOST welcome. I'm really quite sad as this purse was my new pride and joy

i pour baby powder on my chinese food grease stain and in the morning the stain disappeared!

Try cornstarch to soak up the oil.
