Well, you may change your mind about fake jeans once you throw them in the wash and the jeans fall apart or when the jeans fall apart after a few wears. I don't think fakes could ever replicate the quality of authentic merchandise...although I think the consensus here is that the quality of even authentic TRs is nothing to write home about...
Yes, I do understand that completely. However, for the price of these jeans they should last me through retirement. I have a pair of Levi's from 9th grade that have lasted me 10 years (actually had them 12 but didn't wear them for 2 - pregnancy and then losing pregnacy pounds) and I paid $19 for them on sale. So, it's not really the price of the product, it's how you take care of them I suppose. Although, some makers just simply have an egotistical attitude and feel that they can charge an arm and a leg for their products even though they are not made to last just because of who wears them (ie celebrities). I mean, who are celebrities except people who can act, play sports, do drugs, have sex with everyone, get divorced and act like fools 90% of the time? Good golly - all of us can do THOSE THINGS!

Anyway, so the concensus is - yes authentics are "supposed to be" high quality but they aren't always. I like how the jeans look and I have now washed them 6 times now (in a row to see how long it would take for them to fall apart) and wore them 3 times and they are fabulous and not falling apart.

It's a shame when a pair of fakes is better quality than authentics. LOL

Hmmm weird, guess even the boutiques and authorized dealers are either getting suckered or not trustworthy anymore.

I am definitely not saying that! Just saying that I think that I got a good pair of fakes.

But if a supposedly reputable boutique/store had the crystal TRs, then they got suckered since these are a "fake" model. Oh well....

I know plenty of NYC boutiques that sell fakes.

for the record, I think TR is WAY more flattering on women than sevens. I've yet to see a woman whose ass doesn't look spectacular in these things:

UPDATE

Ok, so I washed the jeans that I got 11 times total and have worn them 3. I washed them a lot of times in a row to see how long it would take for the seaming to come undone since others have had fakes unravel after one wash - my curious nature took over. Still not one stitch has come loose and they are still just as dark - Plus, all of the crystals are still in tact and not coming loose! I love these jeans!
