Where to cash a Canada Post Money Order???

Help!

I sold a pair of jeans to someone and because they didn't have a confirmed paypal address I asked him to send me payment by money order. I recieved the money order but when I tried to deposit it, my bank told me that they would charge me a $15 fee and it might take 3-4 weeks to clear. Does anyone else have any experience cashing Canada Post Money orders? The $15 fee sounds ridiculous but I'm not about to switch banks over an issue I've only come across once. I read somewhere that there was a reciprocal agreement between USPS and Canada Post in which they agreed to cash each others money orders but a phone call to USPS does not confirm this. Would a check cashing place cash this? Thank in advance.

is it in US funds? You should be able to take it to a post office and cash it if its in US funds.

It's possible you wont be able to cash it in the US at all. International money orders are a completely different animal.

Yeah, it will be either impossible or very hard.

I know I found just ONE bank that would allow me to cash a canadian check/money order and they did charge me.

I always insist they be in US funds.
