For those without a vision plan....

Where do you go? How much does it cost you?

My vision plan was canceled when my wallet was stolen and my CC were all replaced. So I am way too lazy to refill the paper work, wait for approval, search for local places that will accept the insurance, etc etc especially since I am moving a lot this summer.

Suggestions?

I know Costco is cheaper and Sears and Lens crafter often have promos for $99 or something for glasses.

I need glasses and contacts. Contacts are more important though.

Even with my vision plan, I'm going to Costco for contacts.

I also agree on Coscto. I paid about $75 for the contacts exam and they had a coupon at the time for focus dailies so I ended up spending about $60 on a 6 month supply.

local walmarts might offer cheap exams as well. I think I paid $75 at one locally. I would just call around.

I have never had an exam at Costco, not all the ones around me offered it, but as always I am a huge Costco fan.

Do you have to have a membership to see an optrician at Costco? My sister has a membership, but I don't.
