It's winter here now and I wear jeans every day. I no longer need to shave my legs for work and I'm home most of the time with my baby. Should I shave this time of year?

I mean it's like that tree falling in the woods thing... if no one is there to hear it does it make a sound?

My DH couldn't care less as long as he gets some and I'm wondering how bad would it be if someone accidentally saw my legs hairy, like a shoe salesman who sees 2" of leg with hair. Would this disgust you men beyond all reason? Or would I be wasting my effort?

Seriously okay I have to admit I am lazy too and don't do it all the time, but if I know I'm going to be wearing shorts, going to the OB/GYN or something where they will see my legs yeah I'll shave them, if not....No I'm lazy....sorry guys

Oh and I'm SUPER embarrassed if someone does see them hairy....I want to buy an electric razor for them, that way even if its not super smooth atleast it wouldn't be noticeable....right

I can't go without shaving because body hair drives me insane me. Even a tiny amount of stubble will keep me awake at night so I shave every other day.

I'm not sure how that works because we use the metric system for everything. 90F is HOT though right *giggle


I'm down the south near antarctica! It's not so hot here. It's like 5 - 10 C here usually in winter. That's above freezing so no snow or anything but cold enough when we are used to summers of 30 - 40C (which I'm guessing is above 90F)

As for scattered showers- you're fairly right there for where I live. We do get massive rains at times but not so much. Queensland is up North where it HOT but they're a MOONSOON climate (Tropical) so even though they're super hot in summer it's humid and rains heaps in summer. They get bugs there the size of your arm too! *lol

^^^ Oh and if you don't know anything about Celcius or Centegrade (as I admit Farenheit may as well be in Chinese to me) you at least can work it out from this.

Water turns to ice at 0 C and turns to steam (boils) at 100 C so 40 C is pretty darn hot!

me too - i can't stand feeling my legs rubbing against each other when I am in bed w/ stubble. By the third day I have to shave again or I go nuts. I also feel more clean when I am free of body hair - hard to explain, but i like to feel nice and smooth even when nobody else is able to notice.

*lol As it says in my OP I am happily married to a man who doesn't care if I'm hairy (behind closed doors or under my jeans) or not- as long as he gets some occasionally he ain't complaining either way.

You could solve that problem by abstaining for a week from shaving. This is the first time I have been able to do this as I have always had to shave for work.

I agree with the clean feeling though. I do feel cleaner and nicer with no leg fuzz. Then again, as I am always covered in vomit and baby slober.... it matters less.

Altho the surface involved with legs is greater, with face there's WAY more nerve endings, if you cut yourself everyone sees it, and you need a mirror to do it. I say shave the damn legs. Trying shaving your head like me and getting the back of your neck by yourself where you cant even see even with a mirror.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I have the same problem. I wax, not shave, which has a whole set of problems of its own: namely, the period where the hair's too short to wax again, but too long to be presentable. I bought an epilator, but now I have ten thousand ingrown hairs. ARGH I CAN'T WIN

If I was married and my wife decided she didn't need to shave her legs all winter I'd say that was more then reasonable grounds for divorce.

"Doesn't care as long as he get's some"! That boy needs to have his testicles reattached and maybe do a cycle to get some testosterone back in his system.

lol...I'll actually go months without shaving, but no one ever knows (not even my husband or the nail salon tech who's doing my pedicure) because my hair is very fine. I've never felt stubble or had to deal with dark hairs, luckily!

I would say to each their own but really i cant imagine not shaving or waxing or something. Just like the guys said I find it gross and unattractive.. I don't feel clean unless I am shaved.. I am a well groomed person from head to toe and while I might not shave every day( there is not enough regrowth) I at least shave my legs every other day.

You guys are all so funny..... I NEVER shave in the winter lol.....it's too cold, though Sydney would be no where near cold as Melbourne is, where you are denimobessed!! My hubby doesn't care! I think after years of shaving the hair kind of gets thinner & not as much (well that's my experince!) ....everyone thinks Australia is hot all the time...wrong, the days are about 15C (which is about 59F), & nights, 0C here, Melbourne would be worse....so I say no shave....mgoose, trust me when you get married after a while, that kind of stuff doesn't really matter....you'll see LOL

I just can't imagine not shaving and being all hairy.

My husband loves me no matter what, but I still want to be attractive to him.

I shave no matter what, it only takes a minutes. I like feeling clean and fresh.

No man wants a Sasquatch in bed.
