i came across a beautiful bag that i've been searching for for some time.

it's bin or best offer at $1,000.

what should i offer?

i know usually they say 10-15% off, but $150 off the asking price seems like a lot.

i'd love your input! it's used, but in amazing condition. retail i believe is like $1,200

I would make an offer for $800 first, since retail is $1,200 and it's used—their asking price is high for that reason. EXCEPT if this is like LV or another brand that never goes on sale because it's possible to buy just about any other bag on sale so you shouldn't pay that much for a used bag.

If they reject they may make you a counteroffer, or try again at 850 or then 900. I don't think that's really lowballing since the price is so high.

I would do a quick search on that bag on auctions that have already ended and take a look at those prices and make that offer.
