Has anyone had a sty on their eyelid?

I woke up with one this morning.....how long does it take to go away? I am in a wedding on Saturday It is puffy on top, no head or pimple though. And it is tender to the touch....any suggestions of healing it?

it'll take a few days to get rid of, but to make it go faster, run hot water on it or put a hot water compress over your eye (as hot as you can stand!) that'll bring it to a head, of sorts and start to heal.
enjoy the wedding!

oh also, try not to put makeup on it unless you absolutely have to (i.e. until the wedding) cuz that will just make it worse

I had one in the middle of swim season, talk about the worst experience of my life! It's just that constant uncomfortable feeling, you know?

No no no makeup, you will absolutely make it worse!

i third the hot compress. i knew a girl that got it chronically for awhile and that is what her doctor suggested.

If you have a sty, you need to throw away your mascara asap. i hear they are caused by baterial infections. And don't share make up with anyone else, ever again.

i used this sty wash and it went way down in about 3 days. they sell it at your local pharmacy

i used to get them from not washing off all my eye makeup before bed..lesson learned!

I had a sty and this girl told me to put a tea bag (after it's been in hot water) on it. It was gone when I woke up the next morning.

yea i've gotten one of those before and the hot compress really does the trick! goes away like 2 days or less... if you catch it early

Quick old trick from my mama

Take a Q-Tip and stick it into a lemon then rub the swab over the sty the low Ph will help break it up then warm compresses as well. You will kick it in no time.
