Im Planning on cutting up, please read

I am going through a 21 day fast/cutting cycle, and I have been asked by numerous people about health advice ect, so I am wondering if there would be an interest in me doing a week by week online journal of sorts.

Basicly I would state what I ate, what I took as a thermogenic ect ect

Let me know if anyones interested, as I would hate to waste the time if no one could benifit from it.

Thats a cool idea!

I'd be interested in reading it if you're interested in posting it. I wouldn't plan on following any of it so if you are only planning on doing it for advice, don't do it on my behalf though.

I'd be very interested, Chris. You're not competing, so why, may I ask are you going to go through the hell? Or are you not going to be crazy strict? How often do you do this?
Great idea to journal it for us!!!!

Because I have never done it before, and because I like a challenge.

My entire time bodybuilding has been devoted to eating every 2 hours and trying to gain mass, and in doing so I have neglected a more proper diet in trying to get in as many carbs and calories as I could.

I went from a very very light weight, and gained more then %50 of my starting mass in 5 years.

So, I have decided to loose a couple pounds and get shredded. I have the know-how to get it done, but I have never tried it on myself before, so I was curious as to how well it would work on me.

And if I can help out a few people in the process, it would be worth keeping track of my stats.

Chris, I'm sure you don't need any help with the diet, but if you do, my hubby used to compete and is beyond knowledgeable.
Good luck and post those pics!!!

nice bro'

I've been watching two of my buddies cut up for the past 14 or so weeks for the Mike Francois classic coming up soon. They've both done this before so they're pretty much just going through the motions now, but it's still quite a sight. I suggest since you're going to do it, you might as well go full blow and endure the whole cutting phase for precomp which means at least 12 weeks. 3 weeks isn't really enough for a complete shred. When I say shred, I'm talking about muscle striations on your back and vascularity on your ass and thighs kind of thing.

But whatever you decide, I'll be right here to enjoy the show

you're forgetting the Preparation H on your back and abdomen the night before to pull out those last few pesky pounds of water your body's holding on to

Excuse my ignorance. Does this mean you're trying to lose the rest of your excess fat?

Correct me if Im wrong, I'm no expert...but what I think it means is losing some of the extra fat, without losing any muscle, I think it also has a lot to do with losing water weight which takes away from overall definition...?

OK

I will gather all my info and post on a week by week basis

And Seb, I was thinking of going longer, but I dont need to be in comp shape, just fairly ripped. I also dont have the willpower to diet that intensly, I have never had to do it before.

And I loose weight very very easily, so it shouldnt be a problem.

I'd be really interested in seeing your progress in terms of food, supplements and activity day by day if that's possible?

I'm in the midst of cutting right now as well, so to compare what you're doing and taking to what I'm doing and taking as well over the next 3 weeks.

Sure bud, will do.

I will make a post in a couple of days with full details of everything I have done and consumed ect over the past week.

Awesome, thanks a lot. I have 21 days before my trip and I'm hovering around ~10% BF right now so if i can cut down a few more lbs, all the better

OK Heres the rundown of the first week.

Some of the things I eat and do are the same everyday, so I wont go into too much detail more then once in order to simplify things. If anyone has any questions, drop me a pm or ask in the thread. My fat burning compound comes in a 21 day kit, and consists of a daily fat burner, a diuretic for the last 3 days of the 21 day span, and a compound to help burn fat at night. The company that makes it is NxCare, and it retails for around $60 canadian.

I am also taking kre-alkalyn creatine daily

Breakfast is around 800 calories encluding the shake. The shake is around 125 grams of carbs and 50 grams of protein ( 500 calories )

Week 1
Fat burner taken at 8:00 followed by breakfast ( a bagel with peanut butter) and a shake 800 calories

Lunch at 11:30 is a chicken breast sandwich on a bun, as well as a baked potato and 1/3rd of a cadbury bar for dessert and a bottle of water 900 calories

A protein shake ( 45 grams of whey isolate) is taken at 2:30 200 calories along with the next round of fat burner pills

A pre-workout shake of 500 calories and 100 grams of carbs is taken at roughly 5:30or 6:00 dep[ending on the length of the workday 500 calories

A protein shake is consumed immidiatly after working out ( 45 grams of proetin and zero carbs) 200 calories

Dinner follows within half an hour. Dinner will consist of roughly 900 calories, and around 60 grams of carbs. An example of dinner would be

Chicken breast or lean ground beef
A cup of pasta or rice
A glass of water

A protein shake before I go to bed at 9:30 or so consists of 45 grams of protein, zero carbs and 200 calories I also take my night fat burners at this time

So the average daily total of calories would be around 3500 calories. My carbs fluctuate daily, and I dont need to pay that much attention to them because I loose weight very easily. Otherwise I would be consuming all whole grains for all of my rice and pasta

As far as fat burner results, I am noticing water retention and a bit of fat dissapearing from around my abs. My chest is becoming more defined, and I notice some slight water loss in my back. I was jittery as all hell for the first 2 days until my body became accustomed to it, but now its not a problem.

I am however getting massive carb cravings, and feel like stuffing my face at all times ( especialy at night). I have only lost around 2 pounds on the scale, I am guessing that most of this is water weight, as it is far too soon to loose 2 pounds of pure fat because I am not watching my carbs closely enough.

My gym workouts are suffering a bit from a lack of energy, but not enough to make me worried yet
