Seriously how can any of you believe that a guy in Nigeria is able to pay for a 999USD watch?

The median age for a Nigerian male is only 19 compared to 40 in Denmark.

only 3.1 percent of the total population is over 65

4 million live with aids compared to a total population of 5.5 million in Denmark WTF!

+ the GDP per capita is ridiculously low.

^ That's what all those Paypal/ebay/bank phishing emails are for. They hack into people's accounts and use their cards to pay for high-end goods which get shipped to Nigeria or wherever, then sold probably.

Yeah... GDP doesn't account for paypal, ebay or offshore/money laundering scams. Hardly an accurate reflection of the Nigerian economy

what would happen if the guy paid you via paypal and you sent a box of rocks with delivery confirmation to the confirmed address? (not a suggestion. I'm just curious as to what recourse the "buyer" would have)

My husband and I have even gotten a few scam letters in the mail. They say that you are owed money and what is your bank info. It's ridiculous! Unfortunately, many people do seem to give their info out.

Don't send it out no matter how he pays!!!!

^ My friend's bf actually fell for one of these "money transfer jobs" that was listed online. He was paid 5% commission to receive $1000 and send a Western Union MO to someone else. I was horrified to find out about his "new job" and told my friend's bf to close his bank account immediately. They have all his details too - home address, bank a/c, phone numbers, everything. Worst of all the eejit didn't even keep the 5% for himself! He used most of that money to pay for the money order. D'OH!!

Hi I read your post for the scamand I received the same email from an eBay member who bought me a coin for $950. and has not send me the payment yet. I am filing a complain in the FBI website because pay pal recommended me to do so, If you have more info on the scammer. let me know, on eBay I have to wait til tomorrow because it hasn't pass 3 days from the business.
