Lululemon Limited Edition Scubas

They've gone from $86 CAD to $98 CAD. Boourns. I think the price increase is starting with the Estate Grid print and all subsequent LE Scubas. The Grid that I got today had a mini sticker over the original sticker price of $86..

ETA

The Remix, which is the Scuba part deux, is also now $93 instead of $86. Seems like they're raising prices on a few things now.

Yeah I'm not that happy with the sudden price increase, but Lululemon probably know how hot their limited edition items are since they're literally flying off the shelves...

it is just limited editions or the plain ones too?

I'm pretty fed up with Lulu lately. They never seem to keep any sizes in stock of anything (unless it's in a funky color). I was trying to get a black scuba (to replace my old one) and I couldn't find one in my size so I just gave up

Stupid lulu!!! (haha end rant)

Why have I never found any of those LEs?? I've only seen the houndstooth at Metrotown store once, and never seen anything ever since! I didn't even know those fizzes and grids exist until I saw your posts, Annie.

I think they sell quickly and sometimes even sell out on their first day for a variety of reasons. There are people, including me, who buy maybe 2-3 or more for the purpose of reselling. Then there are people who just want it because it's 'Limited Edition' and it's not something that everyone else will be wearing. I love my Houndstooth half because of comfort and warmth, and the other half because it's LE and I feel special that I have it. It's a cash grab, sorta, because I sell them on eBay but unless you sell at a high price point what you actually earn isn't necessarily worth all the hassle and the high fees to do so. For example, the Fizz hoodie, I purchased it for $98 CAD (after tax) and I sold it on eBay for $150 USD, ebcalc.com tells me my net profit is only about $50. IMO it's only worth selling if you list them all at one time and send all at one time, otherwise it's a huge hassle. It just helps that I really like what I'm selling.

Although Lulu is definitely capitalizing on this LE thing. Technically, everything that they make is in limited production because they change their colours every 40 days. The first printed hoodies like the Paddington and Houndstooth were not labeled as such, it wasn't until they realized how popular they were that they included the LE patch on the Fizz and Grid, and just recently raised the price on the Grid.

I see what you mean. I really want the "grid", but the ones on ebay are crazily priced. I'm wondering how the heck people know when Lulu put those LE hoodies out?! I swear to God, I have never seen any of those on the store floor ever! Believe it or not, I went to Lulu store 3 days in a row, no LE hoodies in sighting!

you can get email updates on lulu gear, or befriend someone at a store to give you a heads up. though i like some of the LE ones, i still prefer the solid colours.

I don't ever see them on the shelves b/c they get sold out in the first couple hours, at least that's the case in Calgary. I usually have to call and purchase one over the phone in order to reserve it.

You can also sign up for their product notification e-mails but it's useless for me b/c by the time I get their e-mail, their LE hoodies are long gone (bad timing).

Things move relatively slow in my city. Once I'm done exams, I'll be hanging out downtown a lot more often (AS IN AT ALL), so I'll keep an eye out, okay?

OMG They just came out with the cutest one! Okay, maybe not as cute as the Paddington/Houndstooth, but the new one is black with minty green polka dots. Wangz09 already has it for sale in the Mall.

If you're in Toronto they're in stock as of Saturday morning, but probably not for long. Go buy now! I just got one in a size 2 for myself.

Yes, it's the Remix. Sorry, I don't have it in hand since I did a phone order, but from what I remember the chest was looser, the torso longer, and the sleeve lengths were long like the Scuba. The Remix that I tried on was solid-coloured, but I'm sure the sizing would be the same as the Polka Dot Remix.

I know what you meann!! thats why I am returning all mine tomorrow, I am too lazy and dont have enough time to deal with this... =(.... at least you sold yours fo $150 thats goood!!! because it cost me $98 PLUs tax after they raise the price.. =(

someone offered me $90.... no offnece... but I really think she knew how much it cost for me to just buy them... I'm pretty sure she saw the thread... it's not like these EVER goes on sale, and I got lucky and bought abunch at lke 70% off... =(

anyhoo, I lowered the price on them just to cover cost, dont want other random people to get these... =P but I know i'll probably end up returning like.... a bunch of hooides tomorrow... aahha.. because like you said, it is relaly not worth it....

quesiton is..... should I keep a Grid one for myself?!!?! ahhaha

I have the paddington scuba and an all black one. The remix sounds perfect to me, with a longer torso and looser chest but still long sleeves. The next time I'm getting one, I'm def going to try the remix.

FYI...tried on the Remix today. Depending on how you want it to fit, you should size down 1-2. I'm normally a 10 or a 12 in normal Scuba hoodies, and i fit in an 8 in the Remix.

yah, I def agree with the advice to size down. In the normal scubas, a size 4 is sorta snug and fitted, in a size 4 remix, there is a lot more room everywhere (including the chest area) I was talking to a lot of the sales associates in lulu, and they all were telling me how they felt the remix is a bonus when the weather is rather cold, or you don't feel like wearing a long tank top b/c you get a bit more coverage in length with the remix. One thing I do enjoy about the remix is that the sleeves aren't ridiculously long like they were before (esp if you sized up in the reg scuba hoodies). Great for petite ladies like myself They've got some really purty colours out in the remix, esp this new dark turquoise blue colour = very snazzy.
