avatar and maxim, that still doesn't make the report any less propaganda-ishly suspicious. however, i will say that your given precedents (assuming they're all true as well) make for proper due diligence towards an overall better informed judgment call. the report doesn't cut it for me without understanding the context (sorry, couldn't be bothered to wiki up all the details into what makes good reporting...and yes, i'm aware how much of a cop-out that sounds like lol).

Virus: Okay, so technically the bible dosen't actually support the existance of the unicorn (There are quotes in the King James Verison mentioning the unicorn, but that was later discovered to be a faulty translation from Hebrew to English- which beautifully supports whoever translated was a moron), but, hey, why not try to genetically manufacture a unicorn? But it's only a unicorn if it can fly on rainbows.

The most powerfull country will always be the most watched and picked apart. Usually due to a mix of bruised egos, and power tripping. Its also because of the many freedoms and rights given to its people that there is so much difference in points of view, and a forum is given to show them all.

Unfortunatly it also makes people whine and complain about absolutly everything. I think if people stopped taking for granted what they have available to them, they would stop bitching so much.

These big whiners who are never happy with the USA or Canada for example, should try going to North Korea and tell a government offical they are mistreating their people, or try and start a rally in Darfur Africa.

You would never hear from them again.

Constructive critisism is fine, just complaining and whining doesnt really do anything

There was a book about something like that, I think they made a movie about it as well. Billy and the Cloneasaurus, I believe was the name. Their experiment didn't turn out so well, if I remember correctly.

Southernization is the term used to describe a situation/time period where the flux of technologies is going from South Asia (China, India, etc.) westwards (Europe). Think the Silk road or Zheng He (although this isn't really an example of southernization, it shows the ancient chinese's technological advancements during the same general time period).

To me, I beleive its a mix of everything.

People will always fear anyone thats more powerfull then they are. And consiquences from not siding with that country, whether it be through military might, or economic sanctions, are equally despised by the people

And dictators and the like fanning the flames by blaming everything on the " evil empire" that is the USA, doesnt help

yeah, i don't think what the ACTUAL definition matters in CUTUP's case. what matters is that other countries PERCEIVE us as more powerful. it's this PERCEPTION, regardless of how accurate it is, that creates all those jealous playa hataz.

also, it's been said that large groups of people are easier to control and predict than individuals. i think this is generally true. large groups of people tend to become one conglomerate text book archetype.

No other news agency could possibly be biased huh? Say it isnt so. They are all biased one way or another.

Yup

Propeganda is massivley underrated in its effectiveness to create hate in people. I mean damn, look what happened to all of Germany during the start of the holocaust. And the swiftness of it was made possible with the use of propganda.

Jews are still likened to pigs and dogs in arabic school books for example, and the USA has been blamed for the downfall of morals and standards worldwide.

Kids are taught this from a very young age in lots of countries, its no wounder there is still so much hatred. Many people seem to forget how impressionable kids are, many have been trained to hate a particular race or creed since birth.

And when the government controls all television and media, your chances of getting an unbiased view are nil

Fox news biased? Ever seen the picture of the Hezb holding up a dead baby and all the Routers, AP and AL-J reporters snapping at it like hungry dogs?

No?

What about the staged photos from Iraq and Lebanon? They gave a pulitzer prize to a man who took a picture of the terrorists killing an election worker, I'm sure the photographer just happened to be there as a coincidence.

darn this thread almost makes me wish i was trolling honestforum.com instead of buying the necessary supplies for mai tais at the liquor store. sadly, although it looked nice out through the window its actually pretty cold out. oh well, entourage is on later.
