Water and Losing Weight

Ok, my hairdresser tells me that she drinks water to help her loose weight. She is a very big boned lady. She tells me that if I drink more water than I will loose my pooch. I drink a lot of pepsi though.

Ever heard of that?

If you drink water instead of pepsi you will lose weight. I promise.

They say that drinking eight glasses of water a day is the best for your body....

I drink four and find it to be sufficient. On days when I work out it's always more. On top of that I might drink skim milk or unsweetened juice sometimes. Drinking enough water with a relatively healthy diet will certainly help flush out all the crap that we put into our bodies daily, which in turn will help you lose weight.

I always tell my buddies that if they want to lose a quick 5 pounds in a couple of weeks they should cut out all refined sugars in beverages (soda pop, juices) and only drink water and skim milk. It doesn't sound very exciting but it works!

Well, the only place I am having weight problems is my tummy. I weigh 133lbs at 5'8" with a pooch stomach.

It's kind of hard. I really do not need to loose any weight. I stand 5'8" and weigh 133lbs. I just have that pooch I want to get rid of.

That's when my hairdresser recommended water. Thanks

^ The carbonated drinks do make you more bloated. It's temporary, but if you drink it daily, then it'll be constant. If you're slim but not toned, it won't help you get a toned tummy and you'll still have a bit of a pouch from the looser skin in that area but it'll shrink it down a bit. Only exercise can help get rid of the entire thing, though.

Thanks, I am thinking about joining Golds Gym just to tone my stomach, but do not know if it is worth it or not.

I love you Casey!

Pooch fat, that pocket in the belly below the belly button is almost always associated with white sugar, epscially if the person is thin to begin with.

Drinking water will help elimiante toxins in your body and if in the proper balance with electrolytes and salt will flush the system. A clean system functions better, eliminates toxins properly, which are stored in the fat cells. Eliminate the toxins from the fat cells, they become available to be used by the body.

Whether or not it reduces the pooch, drinking water instead of Pepsi is clearly a good idea. Pepsi is NOT good for your body! If you want caffeine, have coffee or tea instead.

SO SO SO agree, it has so much to do with the sugar intake!!!

Thanks everyone for your replies.
I will lay off the pepsi. I really need to. Thanks so much.
I am not downing my hairdresser, but she's been on this water theory for a while and I haven't seen her loose any weight.
