So if i get a cut or a spot, it doesnt heal, it starts to heal but im always left with a mark all the time, even from the tiniest spot that wouldnt leave a mark on someone else, im not sure whats going on? I tried taking a daily vitiman but it made me sick. So i have no idea how to make my skin heal itself? its incredibly annoying, ive still got some marks from 2 years ago that would of cleared up in a month on someone else.

I try and take 500-1000mg of Vitamin C and also swear by Polysporin Heal fast-seems to help the boo boos heal faster. I also ensure amongst my other supplements that I take Omega 3 as it has really helped my skin.

Your body does not heal because you are not absorbing nutrients in your intestines needed for your body to heal, for whatever reasons. It is one of the most common symptoms of damaged villi, the little hair like structures that line the intestines that absorb nutrients. Poor dental health, depression, IBS, all symptoms of malnoutrition or absorbtion problems. I think it's a lack of vitamin K that causes buising and skin discoloration, not assocaited with a normal scar, pink raised keloid type scars that fade with time. But you'd have to check with your Doctor for sure.

I really suggest you see a gastro specialist. You have something going on that may or may not be related to ME. You should be tested for a wheat/gluten allergy. It would explain a lot.

Vitamin, commercial isolated vitamons won't do anythign for you because they are not complete. A whole food vitamin, greenfood or super food would be better and most likely not upset your stomach if you mix it with food or fruit smoothie. But you should still see a Doctor.

I'm the same way Lorna17.....I scar really easily from really dumb things. Like, just scrapes that don't even bleed.

I have IBS though.....so hmm....I wonder if that's why!

Speaking of IBS.....I found an amazing book about it! I think I'll start a thread about it

lorna, have you seen a dr about the skin healing (or lackthereof)? If it's really that bothersome and whatnot, definitely see a specialist (gastro, derm, etc)
