renting [?] jewlery from sites like bag borrow or steal. yes or no?

backstory: I was checking out the for sale stuff at bag borrow or steal and I came across all the jewelry they have available and... they have some awesome stuff. I have a big kind-of "debutante" weekend thing coming up in April and I'm thinking about using the jewelry on the site so that I can afford to have the pieces for the weekend and not have to fork out several hundred dollars for stuff that I'd only wear once every now and then

soooo thoughts? would it be tacky?

that jewelry is really pretty! I am a huge jewelry person myself, not designer but I just love jewelry in general. I always love an excuse to buy more. If you really can't ever see yourself wearing the stuff again in the future though it may be a good idea to rent it.

I hate buying jewelry for ONE outfit and never wearing again (which I always do for special occassions) so I think its a great idea to be able to "rent" out your pieces.
