hooking up with a housemate/apartmentmate - yay or nay?

i say nay 99% of the time. my housemate and boss of the house is currently interviewing people to move in, and one of them is a girl and he's spending an exorbitant amount of time with her and chatting her up real well. he tells her that he'll call her later in the week with our decision, and then 45 minutes later, he's asking her if she wants to grab a quick beer with him. she politefully declines, but she really likes the place and wants to move in.

my housemate told her that we have other people to interview in the next few days, but he's soooo gonna tell her she can move in first thing tomorrow. i anticipate 6 months of drama going forward.

this is going to be best time of my life. i'm gonna feel like jaeda in the antm tyra house from cycle 7. and i thought the drama with our old roommates was hilarious. woohoo!

of course, there's also the hot hot element of doing something considered taboo. well, converting your housemate into a bedmate isn't exactly a taboo, but it's still got that romeo & juliet forbidden love thing going on. and i'll admit, i do have fantasies of hooking up with teachers and TAs and stuff.

EDIT: bossman just knocked on my door and asked what i thought about her. i told him what he (and i) wanted to hear - "she'd be a valuable asset to our community...tell her to move in first thing tomorrow morning!"

well....i moved into a house with a buncha guys and now, more than 1.5 years later, I'm still dating one of them.

i moved from my dinky summer sublet room into his large, complete-with-fireplace and video games room. sweet deal for $350.

^^^ i found those series of questions grossly offensive as it implies that i in some way have already failed your qualifications when in fact prospective housemates should be qualifying themselves to us. -1 not for the implicit offense because i am sufficiently thick-skinned, but because of the transparently subversive attempt.

plus, i don't think you'd be able to deal with my over-active imagination in the house.
