This is the email I received. Tell me what you think. I have never heard of this with designer jeans.

Hey Marie,

Some info about the jean party.

We sell brand name jeans at wholesale price ($65). We sell: Seven, Citizen, Rock and Republic, Joe's Jeans, True Religion and some Juicy Suits ($80).

All the jeans are 100% auth. brand new with retail tag.
Retail Price for those jeans are $150 and up.

You would host the party in your house or someone that you know, all you need is to gather people that you know (Minimum of 20 girl), friends, family, co-worker and have some drinks and snacks.

I don't mind if the party would take place on weekend or weekday.

You would get 10% of the profit worth of jeans (not money, and not juicy suits, only jeans).

Please email me if you have any questions.

Thank You, Maya

I've only heard bad things about those "parties"...I would steer clear.

If they are selling those jeans for $65, then they are fake. Wholesale prices are more than $65 for those brands.

Those parties are soooooooooo fake. Stay far away! And like Leesamarie said, wholesale is more than that.

been to one. totally fake

Not to mention that only select brick & mortor boutiques can get wholesale on those brands. You can't just call up R&R and make a wholesale order, they want to be more exclusive than that.

Sad but true.

Always fake. What's sad is that most of the time the host doesn't even realize that the jeans are fake.

All fakes ~ stay away!

Never heard of such a party... candles, lingerie, baskets, makeup and skin care, yes....Gotta be fake tho for those prices.
There was a rash of those parties in my area recently. I swear that 80% of designer jeans I see on girls is fake, I blame the parties. It's gross, and I bet most of them have no clue.
Ya, about 99% of the jean parties out there sell fakes. I'm opening up a brick-and-mortor store & sometimes do "events" (I don't even THINK about going near anything but totally authentic) and those prices are NOT authentic prices. It is SO easy to get the fakes, it's gross! I've even had some of those "jeans party" girls contact me to buy fakes...um NO THANKS!!!

Believe me, it is NOT easy to get the authentic wholesale stuff...that's why people settle for the fakes. It took me almost a year to get the contacts approval for distributions.

So, my advice is ask questions. If the owner of the company can't tell you where they came from or knows nothing about jeans- it's fake. Just like the lame fake purse parties. Do they guarantee their products? Doubt it. Ask if they know some signs that they are dealing with real product.

I hope this helps...good luck!!!
Peace Love and DENIM!!!

That's why she won't pay you that 10% in $$$. She'd pay you less by giving you a pair of fake jeans that she gets for probably $20- AND you'd probably owe on top of that.

I'd set her up. Call Chris Hansen at Dateline LOL!
haha ya, she prob only PAID $10 for the jeans she's going to give you!

Stop it.
