Getting Rid of the "pooch"

I am so sick. I have a fairly nice figure, but I have this pooch going on. Is there any tips you all can give me on how to get rid of it so I can show off me a hot bikini this summer?

Then I'll have to contend with stretch marks. I have a few. They aren't that noticeable. Any tips on getting rid of them?

Thanks

Thanks you guys. I started doing turbo jam last September and believe me I had my tummy looking fantastic. Right around Christmas, I got lazy. My family started giving me grief that I was too skinny and that I NEED to eat.

No offense to my family, but fat runs in the family. I don't want that because it ain't cute. I am not knocking bigger people, but I do think my family can help themselves.

ANYONE else tried Turbo jam? I am thinking about joining Gold's Gym, but wonder if its worth the cost.
Thanks

I did a trial membership at golds over my winter break [no need for me to join, I was only home for a month] and I highly recommend that place!

I don't know about how they are near you, but the one in my area is fantastic and totally worth the cost [which I found to be minimal if you join during one of their specials]

Cut out your sugar intake!!!! White breads, pasta, obviously candy, really anything with sugar. It's like this is THE area that collects fat from these types of carbs. Clearly I'm over simplifying, but I do promise you that if you cut way down on your sugar, you WILL see a difference.
Really, it's like 80% diet 20% workout.

really.

This is so TRUE!!!!! And it really is that simple. Unless you are genetically predispoosed to having a "pooch", this information is all you need to know.

I have 3 step daughters and every single one of them had fat bellies, 2 still do, and all they eat is sugar and foods that break down to sugar in the blood stream. They do not eat enough protein and they fill up on carbs.

Add more protein everytime you eat and eat it first before the carbs then cut back on sugar and carbs. You will see a difference in body fat in a matter of about 2 weeks. Diet is key.

No alcohol, that's pure sugar. You guys are young, but some friend in their 40's have started to get a belly!

OMG one of my best friends eats chocolate and candy by the POUND!!! She's on the swimteam with me so she's strong, and lifts just as much as I do, does the same amount of cardio, etc. and has the pooch.

The girl has an awesome 4 pack at the top of her stomach... and then the pooch.

well that's wonderful for you.
Most people aren't so lucky, especially as we get older.

Yeah, Jenn! Ain't it the truth. When I'm 70 or 80, and still lean (or not) THEN I'll say never!

I still do not take my size for granted, at 110, er I mean 47

Some women will just have that... you'll note that it is conveniently located to protect the internal reproductive organs, so even if you cannot get rid of it, at least your ovaries are safe from flying projectiles. Or something like that.

Do you exercise? Exercise is great for tummy fat.

The alcohol thing is so true as well, plus it ruins your exercise schedule if you drink too much!
