Poop

Okay, this is kind of embarrassing......

I can't poop lately. I feel like I need to poop but when I sit down on the toilet I CAN'T! Is there something I can eat? (Specific types of food) Or some kind of medicine I can take? My bf said laxatives but I'm afraid that'll give me bad stomach pains.

I don't know why this is happening. My diet hasn't really change. In fact, I've been eating slightly more healthy (or at least introducing some healthy stuff into my diet)

AHHHH Kenics, spoken like a true believer!

LBB(Lower Bowel Balance) is an herbal supplement you can take to help you poop. As always I advocate a healthy colon and this is how I accomplish my "duties".

Any change in diet or fluid can disrupt you temporarily. If you do not resume in the next few days I would suggest either more fiber in your diet, fruit and veggies, a fiber supplement, more water and/or add a magnesium supplement will do as well. You might consider colon cleansing to get things moving and working properly. Depending on your age and life diet, you could benefit.

Escarole will make you go to the bathroom or any kind of fruit. You can also take senokot to make you go. It is actually a natural laxative. Have you been drinking a lot of h2O? Water will soften the stool and push it down.

I meant to add, I HATE that feeling/sensation. Thankfully it doesn't happen often.

LOL, prune juice will work, but it is toxic to the body, which is HOW it works, so I would not use it frequently. Think last resort, like the elderly who are great consumers of prunes and juice.

WATER! You are probably a little dehydrated. Increase your water intake and you should see a difference.

^ i don't drink much water by itself, but i drink a LOT of fluids so that shouldn't be a problem right?

So....LBB, Escarole (is that a fruit or a supplement?), or Senokot? Okay, I'll go to the health store once I'm done this essay and check it out. Thanks girls!!

food wise, you need to eat A LOT of fiber. it will make your doo doo like toothpaste.
you should eat:
Almonds
beans (edamame, etc)
broccoli
whole wheat pasta (not enriched flour, that is BS)
Frosted mini wheats cereal
brown rice
apple (skin is where the fiber is at)
whole wheat bread - Orowheat has a new bread which has 6 grams of fiber per slice, eat 2 slices and you already have 48% of your daily intake.
aim for about 25 grams of fiber per day.
for supplements i recommend fiber sure. and they also sell powdered form which you can mix into your food or drink.
and drink water!
i had the same constipation problem....i'm a fiber whore now.

as far as the fiber...I spent a week with my grandmother in the hospital after knee replacement surgery. It is kinda hazy now, but I walked away from that experience with making sure I got fiber into my diet.

I use the Fiber Sure also. Each spoonful gives you 5 grams. There are lots of breads out there now that have more fiber, in fact WW has a bagel with 8 grams of fiber. It really isn't that hard to make sure you get your daily fiber. So far, I have just made a few food changes, and I get enough.
