I guess I would say Im really a 34x30, but Ive sized down on pretty much everything to a 33. Or does that make me a 33??

I know. I get some awesome deals sometimes just due to my size, but it also makes it decently hard to sell stuff for any real amount of money. I would kill to be a 29/30, but it would take a bone saw to my pelvis for that to ever happen lol.

764 is the better wash. The blue is right on! But, Grondie, that is one fine-ass collection.

Tee, dude, if you owned a Zathan or Zatiny you'd probably rock 'em and like 'em. Your Trouleg 71V fit was spot-on. Oh, wait, those are 'trumpet' not 'boot' cuts.

Tee is a Euro...bootcut was never as big there as it is here.

I went to Spain in 2004 and everyone was wearing skinny jeans, high-tops, and tucking their jeans. That didn't start hitting here until like 2006 in full force.

Bootcut resonated so well here because of the iconic American cowboy image. Plus the whole late-70's redux thing (Anchorman, et al) helped a lot.

Depends where in Europe you're from.

Gotta say I see/saw lots of bootcuts in the Netherlands and Sweden when I was there in late 2008/early 2009. And again saw lots of bootcuts in Norway and Finland. And even some in France.

I haven't been to Deutschland since 2006, so I can't comment about Germany.

It is feeling lonely. I'm trying to hunt down Heeven 88Z in size 32 to keep it company - even with the shoddy quality of 8UJ it's managed to become one of my favorite pairs. I like the new direction that Diesel has seeded with cuts, but I'm not about to go through another craze and end up with 20 pairs of a dated style just rotting on the shelf.

Sadly, most all of my Zathans and Zatinys are being cast to auction save a few privileged specimens that have earned themselves sentimental value. Nowadays I'm wearing Trouleg 80% of the time with the tapered cuts serving to break up the monotony. Right now it seems like nothing exciting is going on - trends are in a holding pattern and the catchall APC/Dior paradigm looks like it'll be entrenched for a long time to come.

Much as I'm keen on discovering new stuff and getting beyond all the denim naval-gazing, I bemoan the end of the Diesel heyday. There was something really fun about the online scavenger hunt, with Zathan being such a prolific cut and with so many elusive washes to track down. Just think - before I joined HF two years ago I only had 3 or 4 pairs of Diesels.

tricky - Good catch. I'm still not sure how Cardial was officially spelled.

Victorialand - 764 always eluded me. I was always hunting for rare Zathans, and on any given day a pair or two of NWT 764s would be floating around on ebay from sellers like ill-town - but they were always asking for top dollar. I figured "Well, they're not going anywhere anytime soon" so I just never bought 'em.

i am from deutschland and my diesel collection is around 60% Bootcut 30% SStraight 10% slightly tapered

and the most diesels i see in person are larkee and viker.. Never saw a skinny cut. Fuck, even in our Stores they are rare. Never saw a slammer in Frankfurt or Munich

I'm also from germany. In Stuttgart there was definitly a Slammer (the one of the last collection) and I also think when i phoned them last time (Stuttgart and Munich) they had Thanaz, but not so sure about this. Poiak is also avalible in certain other stores (non-diesel stores). However, they usually only go down to size 28, i need 26, thats why germany isn't the real deal for Diesel Jeans if you need a small size.

Which one should i sell? want to sell at least 5 Pairs. I not sure but first chose: safado 8AA (too tight), Zathan 72Y, Zathan 784, Zatiny 8KL, maybe Zathan 8AT...
