go with your standard Thanaz/Thavar size as long as the calf fits- 881W is a stretch wash, but it doesn't seem to be stretching out to the point of sizing down..

best diesel corduroy was still MA118- nothing holds a torch to it

I personally hate 8s9, no offense^^    It is not a cool of coal though try Shioner 8X6; it is cool of coal and not quite as skinny^

the rise isn't that low, but it's definitely not the Thavar cut.  The back pockets and yoke are suspect though

stick with 31 in gloovy if you're comfortable with 31 in Tepphar
