apparently if you wear them tight and get a lot of friction, or drag them around on the floor, they will rip.

That's not a comforting thought when I have RRDS coming. Sorry about your jeans man, hopefully I'll have better luck with mine.

the dry selvedge is TUFF. i don't think you'll have to worry about that. it's just because the ola denim is lighter

Honest Forum is honestly boring.

If so, it will happen to any jeans, no matter the 'quality'

Is it good enough for what you\'re paying?

seriously, i dont think any denim would hold up for 6months of abuse. its bound to get a rip at the hem or crotch/butt area, or have holes in the back pocket and whatnot. i personally think they add character. i dont know, having a few raw pairs myself, honestly sometimes i feel a few members here are missing out on the whole concept of breaking in raw denims.

I'm just joking How long did you wear your raw denim before washing them?

the first wash is typically about 4months of wear. i usually wash them when they start to get wears among the whiskers and other creases. then i dont wash them for a long time. i perfer to have achieve subtle fading on the first wash, and go for more pronouced ones on the washes after that.

heres the only pic i could find at the moment,

the regular ralf dry selvage was washed once. worn for about 8 months or so, it was one size big so i wore it really loose and slouchy. Sandwiched in between two pairs of dior hommes

wow nice colour on those...

My dry don't see the light of day much, because of the usual overcast we have here. I don't want to wear it when its wet outside.

Does diesel offer anything unwashed? I've heard people say they do, but they're usually refering to the shazor 88z which is one rinse.

thanks! it is a little bit more subtle in real life, but they definitely look like a totally different jean.

Honestly I love dry denim and I always have a pair laying around now. They're my ultimate "beater" jeans because you literally don't have to give a crap about them at all. Stains, mud, scratches, who cares? This is a far cry from me freaking out over every little stain on some of my more detailed washed jeans.
