Poppy Delevigne was spotted at the Glastonbury Festival over the weekend. She wore a pair of the Paige Premium Verdugo Leggings in Scarlett with a Wrangler denim shirt and a Mulberry bag. I love this look. I like the pale blue an the rusty red tone together. Even with the silver wellies, the look all works. I don’t know much about Poppy, but after some searching I notice that she has great style. I hope she starts becoming a regular here on DenimBlog.
Paige has come out with some great colored jeans this season. I love the Pomodoro! The color is such a deep red that I think is very versatile. I hope to see those spotted out on someone soon. Maybe Kate Bosworth or Rachel Bilson? You can click here to purchase Paige jeans from PaigeUSA.
Jessica Simpson had a busy Mother’s Day Weekend. On Saturday, The Simpson clan posed for photos together at a Beverly Hills studio. The next day Jessica and fiance, Eric Johnson, later met his parents for lunch at Viceroy Hotel.
Jessica wore a pair of tiny shorts, platform heels and an embroidered denim shirt. Jessica’s denim shirt looks to originally be by Wrangler. However, I haven’t seen any Wrangler shirts with such beautiful embroidery, so I wonder if it was the work of another designer?
Here are a few preview photos from the Wrangler and Wrangler Bluebell Autumn/Winter 2011 collections that I saw at Surgery PR in London last week. The Wrangler line is really big and features a lot of different jeans and other denim items like tops and shirts. They have a couple of jeans in particular, the photo above, that I found really interesting! They have words and patterns lasered into the fabric.
The Wrangler Bluebell collection is a lot smaller and a tighter collection for the men. It features a tonne of denim jackets and a few different washed jeans, including bright colours which were muted and more dull to suit the colder months. The Wrangler Bluebell collection is the top 3 images in the gallery and the Wrangler collection is the rest of the 6 images. You can also enter one of Wrangler’s cool competitions they have running with Selfridges right now. Check it out here. So what do you think of the collections?
For those of you waiting for the Paige Premium press day photos, I am not allowed to post them just yet. I will as soon as I can, but I will tell you that the collection is amazing!

Worn across America with Wrangler is a new campaign they are running. For Wrangler’s S/S11, the denim brand returns with a collection inspired by the classic US road trip. Introducing 4 different washes, NYC, IOWA, UTAH and LA, each jean documents a broken journey across the USA. This involves jeans being just worn and ending up getting destroyed, the colours go from deep and dark to light and bright, the denim varies from reinforced and unbreakable to superlight cotton linen. The inspiration is eclectic: military pieces, signature Wrangler leather, the twisted teardrops of paisley prints. This is Life on the Road.
To celebrate this story, Wrangler has devised an exciting competition, Try On one of Wrangler’s contemporary fits to win an incredible tour across the United States, from New York to Los Angeles! All you have to do is go into Selfridges and try on any of the Wrangler contemporary fit jeans and you will be entered into the contest. The promotion will end at midnight on April 30th 2011. It sounds fantastic to me! I would love a trip across the US!
Men: try on the Ben. It’s a modern anti-fit jean with regular top block and tapered legs and women: try on the Molly. It’s a contemporary-cut slim-fit that goes with anything, any time.
The winners’ incredible, adrenaline-fuelled tour starts in… New York: find out why the city never sleeps. Next, Iowa, spend the night outdoors at Zion National Park. The following day learn Native survival techniques before bedding down in Utah’s awesome canyons, then the action hits the asphalt, with a drive on the legendary Route 66 to Las Vegas and the trip rounds out in Los Angeles.
Adam Kakembo, marketing director of Wrangler EMEA says: “Worn Across America, the SS11 collection, demonstrates our remarkable denim innovation. Hold the four washes next to each other and you can see how the marks of wear evolve at each stage. The season’s thrilling promotion brings the collection to life, and the winners will have the time of their lives!”
