Textile Elizabeth and James
The bleached/tie-dye denim look has made a resurgence this season. Brands like Textile Elizabeth and James, Barbara Bui, Joe’s Jeans and more have all come out with their own interpretation in various colors.
The great thing about this turn around on the trend is that it is not just limited to jeans. You can see that Textile has come out with their Western Shirt with bleached detailing that they are calling Cloudy. You can click inside to see all the styles from these along with others that are starting to pop up in stores right now.
Jennifer Lawrence is the next person to be caught in the Textile Elizabeth and James Johnny in Onyx. In the promo video for Saturday Night Live, she paired them with a sweater by Elizabeth and James. I hope that we get more sightings of Jennifer in these jeans, especially since she is the front runner to win “Best Actress” at the Oscars this year.
I think these jeans are going to be their next popular style by Textile. If you can’t wait for these, I highly recommend getting the Coopers. They have a similar feel, but with the addition of ankle zips. I have been wearing mine quite a bit lately. I find them to go with everything right now. Who is best to promote your brand when you are an Olsen? When your style is as iconic as theirs, no one is better than yourself. Ashley Olsen did just that when she was spotted catching a flight out of LAX Airport in Los Angeles, California. The designer wore one of her own pieces from the new Spring 2013 Textile Elizabeth and James collection, the Johnny in Onyx with some Celine sneakers.
What I love about these jeans is that it is reminiscent of their Custom Maxfield’s jeans. Not exactly, but they have the same vibe. When I first saw them in the new look book (see here), I became instantly excited. Then when I saw that they came in black, I became elated. I cannot wait for these to be available! For the time being you can see what Textile has available at Shopbop.
