Textile Elizabeth and James
Mary-Kate Olsen posed with sister Ashley at the launch party for their new handbag line for Elizabeth and James, hosted by InStyle in Hollywood, California. The designer wore a pair of the Johnny Jeans in Onyx from her Textile Elizabeth and James line with a shirt from Elizabeth and James. Ashley was also decked out in Elizabeth and James, opting for a dress from the line. Both ladies chose to finish their looks off with bags from the new handbag line (see below).
It is great to see that both she and Ashley have these jeans. They have styles that are similar, yet completely different; so it’ll be interesting to see how she would style these compared to Ashley. From what I can see already, Mary-Kate prefers these more fitted to Ashley’s slouchy style. Who do you think wore them best and which bag is your favorite? The 4th of July is just two days away, so we thought we would publish our annual 4th of July styling inspiration post. You can see last years by clicking here. This time around, each of us switched denim colours to create our looks. Jennifer, Jonathan and I all did an outfit in red, white and blue, centered around jeans, while Chanelle stuck with the colour theme, but styled a skirt. You can see each of our looks within this post. Happy of 4th July everyone!
Carey Mulligan was spotted making her rounds with some friends at the Glastonbury Festival. The actress wore a pair of Textile Elizabeth and James Debbie Jeans in Destructed Midnight with some Tory Burch loafers.
This isn’t the usual festival gear that many think of, but it is the uniform for Carey, which I do like a lot. I applaud her for not going the typical shorts and wellies route because that is not her. She kept true to herself and looks comfortable. If you like your look, why change it for the occasion when it is not necessary? Especially if you are going to an event like this when you are running around from stage to stage. I am happy to get another sighting of the Crosby jeans. These are still one of my favorite pairs from Textile because they made the carpenter pants cool again by slimming the fit and adding the ankle zipper. I do wish that Kendall did wear these with ankle boots instead of the sneakers. I find the shoes to cut her off strangely. What do you think? You can click here to purchase these jeans from Saks for $128.62.
