I love this Stella McCartney dress that Alexa has been spotted out in before, it is such a blank slate in terms of fashion choices. I’d love to see Alexa pair it with some bolder accessories, like some fun heels or a necklace.

Gwyneth Paltrow attended the My Valentine Video Premiere in West Hollywood, California. She supported friend Stella McCartney by wearing a pair of her skinny ombre jeans. I always like how classic Gwyneth looks. Her clothes are always fitting for whatever event she is attending.
I am pretty excited to see an ombre pair of jeans out again. Since tie-dye is back in full swing again, I think, ombre will soon follow right after again. I just always liked how streamlined they look. One thing I do wish about the pair on Gwyneth is that they were a bit tighter. I love the way the ankle-zip version we saw on many people fit. So I may be partial to the way those fit everyone who has worn them.
Stella McCartney’s resort collection was inspired by Hawaii, so it only makes sense to extend that to the denim portion of the collection. From far away, the denim from the collection almost looks like acid-wash or a dyeing technique, but on closer examination, the palm tree pattern can be seen.
I love how subtle it is! Stella explained her inspiration, “Denim is something that’s already ingrained in everyone’s wardrobe. So we played with it to give it a new twist.” The pieces retail for $995 (jacket) and $665 (jeans) and will be in stores in January.
Here is a look at the new Stella McCartney Spring 2012 collection. Stella showed what she did best, clothing for women. Every season she just knows how to make the clothing fit the women’s body. Whether it be to hide it or enhance it. The clothing just fits.
For this season she was inspired by athleticism. Which is just a natural progression being that she will be designing the uniforms for London at the 2012 Olympic games. She also showed a trend that slowly creeps up the fashion radar, pajamas. I love to wear the pieces separately, but I don’t think that anyone can wear a full pajama out. The shirts with jeans will look amazing together and the pants with a tee and blazer would be heaven. You can click the images below to see some of the looks.
