Since the weather is finally warm and summer-like enough, I chose this Stella McCartney denim mini skirt to style for my weekend going out look. I love the mid blue wash of the skirt and love how it paired with this cropped sea foam green sweatshirt from Acne.
Because the rest of the look is fairly casual, I wanted to add some fun touches with accessories. I chose these Jimmy Choo metallic Mary Janes because I love the style, especially paired with the mini, which has a 60s style vibe. Next, I chose this fringe bucket bag from Stella McCartney because I love the darker blue paired with the green and wash of the skirt. Lastly, I finished the look with a bit of shine with this disc choker necklace from Miss Selfridge.
Just in time for the new season, Stella McCartney has new styles that give a fresh breath to the accessories department. For Spring, she has given her signature Falabellas an updated feel that only she can pull off by embroidering flowers on the denim. You can see that the light washed denim has been embroidered with poppies or dandelions, which add to the quirk of what the label is known for.
There is life to these that hasn’t been done before when it comes to denim accessories. I find the pieces to be fun and really help bring out the joy in fashion that can constantly feel severe. Stella McCartney was spotted making her way through Heathrow Airport after arriving from Los Angeles to London. The designer kept to her signature easy cool style by wearing a denim jumpsuit from her line with a pair of platform monks.
The denim jumpsuit is such an underrated piece to own. I just love the industrial feel of the slouchier styles that designers release each season, whether they be short or long. They are just such an easy piece to style as they can be feminine with sandals or worn in a more tomboy way like Stella here. How do you readers style your denim jumpsuits? One of our regulars, Hilary Duff, was caught chatting away on her cell phone while running some errands in Beverly Hills, California.
Hilary upped her denim game and chose a Stella McCartney flared denim jumpsuit which she layered over a cropped top. Flared overalls were trending massively during the Summer last year, but it’s been a while since we have seen them out. I wonder if they are being brought back again? Buy these denim overalls online at Matches.
