Rock & Republic Fashion’s Night Out Event

Rock & Republic had their Fashion’s Night Out Event at their Roberston Blvd. store in Los Angeles, California. Many famous faces came out to support the the brand. Celebrities such as Natasha Henstridge and the Los Angeles Mayor himself, Antonio Villaraigosa, were there to support.

Guests were served cocktails as they mingled with each other as go-go dancers entertained and the DJ spun music. How many of you readers attended Fashion’s Night Out and how many of you attended to the Rock & Republic Event?

Rock and Republic launches SV18 jean

On September 18th, Rock and Republic celebrated the launch of a new jean, the SV18 jean at Nordstrom in Santa Monica. Rock and Republic teamed up with L.A. Laker’s shooting guard, Sasha Vajacic, to create the new style. The jean features a longer inseam, measuring in at 38″ and a wider leg, which makes it perfect for athletes.

Sasha appeared at the store, meeting fans and signing autographs. Fans also had the opportunity to shoot a basket and win a pair of Rock and Republic jeans and other prizes. Check out the photographs from the event below. You can purchase the SV18 jeans at Nordstrom.com

The SaMo Bloomingdale’s was pulling out all the stops. They recently had Rock & Republic in the house, and they brought some fall finds, great grooves, Gran Sierpe pisco cocktails, and of all things — temporary tattoos at the house of little brownbags. Celeb Melissa Rycroft from “Bachelor Pad” was there getting her tat and wearing R&R Rudd low rise cropped jeans in Expectation blue. Other celebs, Tye Strickland, Amber Lancaster (Hard Times of RJ Berger) and Nicole Simone all came out to support the new denim finds, as did R&R CEO Michael Ball and President Andrea Bernholtz. The focus was skinny jeans, dark colors and 2.0 version jeggings.

Glee member, Cory Monteith, was seen going to Las Palmas nightclub in Hollywood, California. He was wearing a pair of Rock & Republic Fearless Straight Leg jeans in Mischievous Blue.

It is crazy how big Glee has gotten. Their fame just blew-up so quick, maybe not as quick as the cast of The OC, but pretty fast and I like that they are all still so mellow. Are you readers a fan of Glee? I think Jane Lynch is hilarious. Every character she plays is so blunt and I’m sure she is just as crude in this show. Trend Alert: Waxed Denim Part II

This is an update of the leather look/waxed denim trend you can see Part I by clicking here. The more I see this trend, the more I start to like it more and more. It is just amazing what they can do. Many brands are now coming out with their own styles. Some are even combining it with some of Fall’s biggest trends.

I am particularly fond of the Rich and Skinny Cargos in Slick Black. They would look prefect for night out with just a basic tank, skinny belt, and a blazer. The J Brand 912 in Venom (pictured on Sandra Bullock above) are also great. They look just like leather. Then there are their new Houlihans… they have come out with them in a wash called Stealth, which is a waxed black, that is sure to be spotted on some celebs. J Brand didn’t just combine it with the cargo trend for fall, but also with printed denim. They have a pair of waxed camouflage style jeans in their famous 901 Leggings fit.

They don’t just come in super skinny/legging styles either. Citizens of Humanity have come out the Joy Waxed wash in their slouchy skinny Edge fit and the Thompson, which is a high-waisted skinny. Rock & Republic have also come out with the trend in a straight leg style. So why opt for real leather when you can get the same look with these animal-friendly styles for a fraction of the price?
