The moto trend was just kicking off again during this post here. Since then, many brands have been dropping their takes on the trend left and right. From luxe styles from brands like Balmain and BLK DNM, to budget friendly styles by BLANK NYC and Ditto as well as styles in between; there are styles for everyone at any price range to try out.
This is my first review in quite some time. R13 has always been a brand that I wanted to try since they launched a few years back because the vibe of the brand really speaks to me. From the material to the wash, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package and put on the jeans. Click inside to see my thoughts on this style.
For my weekend going out look this week, I wanted to style something tough, but feminine. I chose these R13 Camo Moto Jeans as I think they are really masculine, but they have a really flattering and feminine fit to them, which is perfect for the look I was going for. I styled the jeans with a Rebecca Taylor White Summer Blazer and Christian Louboutin Nude Pigalle Heels.
I think the heels and structured blazer really give a different vibe to camo and make it wearable for girly girls. I added a Nelly studded nude clutch for some edge and lots of jewellery to glam it up. I chose a heart ring and bow ring, both by Topshop and two necklaces, a black horn by Metro Park and a gold heart by Bloomingdales. It’s sort of similar to an outfit that I did before, but I think this one is a little more suitable for day time wear and evening wear.
The leather chaps by R13 are one of those styles that is popular with the fashion forward crowd. They have been caught on everyone from Rihanna and Lindsay Lohan to bloggers like Elin Kling. For fall 2013, they just released their new version, the Moto Chap. These are a combination of their moto and classic chaps with a few additions of the the quilted knees and ankle zips.
Another new style this season is their Graffiti Leather Leggings. I always get intrigued when seeing printed leather pants. Being that they are leather, I feel like there is more stability and they have a look to them that is more like an actual pant than regular leggings. Pair these with an oversized graphic t shirt and some peep toe lace up boots for a cool look. Which style intrigues you?
