Paige Premium Jeans
Coachella is just around the corner! With fashion that is just as big as the musicians playing the event, everyone puts in their ‘A-Game’ for the weekends when it comes to their looks. Whether you chose to bring out your inner flower child or stick with casual looks just like any concert, the idea is minimal (in lack of fabric or classic staples) while still making a statement. It’s a time when you can go loud with your looks or make an impact with simple pieces like these here. Check out the 6 looks inspired by the festival below.
After seeing the Spring 2016 Paige lookbook, these jeans were the pair that I couldn’t wait for and hoped to see on Rosie. She makes everything look amazing, here is no different, and a cropped flare would be new to see her in. She definitely exceeded what I was expecting and styled them perfectly. For ‘3 Looks’ this month, I wanted to work with the suede Paige High Rise Bell Canyon jeans. I find them to be one of the funnest styles of the new season and I just love the vintage feel yet modern cut. I also didn’t just want to choose one of the washes and opted to do looks with both the Black and Saddle Brown washes as though they are both suede, both have two completely different vibes going on. See the looks that I came up with below.
For the first look, I wanted to go for something clean and smart. Also something that was a bit of the season at the moment because though they are a spring style, they can work just as well for the colder months too.
To bring that look to life, I paired the pants with a sweater and coat by Stella McCartney. Then I wanted to bring in that slight western aesthetic that the Spring collection has going on with the Keegan belt that Paige just introduced to her roster. Then to finish the look off, I chose a simple pair of black pumps by Saint Laurent.
Now for the brown suede pair. To me, these have a ton of life to them, yet they can still read as a pair of corduroy jeans and be styled in the same easy casual way. Which is what I went for here, a look that feels of the time when summer is just about to hit.
I chose to pair the jeans with a Madewell shirt to start and then to keep the laid back summer attitude going I chose a pair of sandals, also by Madewell. As my accessories, I wanted to somehow bring in the ’70s vibe that the jeans give off with a bag by Cynthia Rowley, bracelet by Shashi and sunglasses by Matthew Williamson. They bring the ’70s to life without making the look feel dated and out of the history books.
I went for a more sleek approach for the first styling of these above, but I wanted to show that they also can be given a modern boho spin as well. I paired them with a shirt by Etoile Isabel Marant for the airy contrast they give to the suede of the pants. To keep the free spirit vibe going, I went for a saddle bag by Jerome Dreyfuss, then accessorized with some sunglasses by Thierry Lasry. But I wanted to add some luxe to the look and finished the look off with a pair of Gianvito Rossi boots and a cuff by Jennifer Fisher. They add just a hint of glam to the overall outfit that would otherwise read casual.
Another photo of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at the airport! She was snapped arriving on a flight from London, where she was busy promoting her collaboration with Marks and Spencer.
Rosie wore a pair of Paige black skinny jeans with over the knee boots, a striped tee and a leather jacket. The combination of the black over the knee boots and the black jeans is such a simple one but makes her legs look miles long! You can buy Paige online from Shopbop.com.
