In perfect time for the Holidays, Swedish denim brand Nudie Jeans and Atrium NYC have launched an exclusive Thin Finn style in ‘Organic Icon Red’. The 11 oz. slim fit Turkish denim has been skillfully stripped with bleach at the Nudie LAB in Italy and over-dyed in deep Rubin red.
The organic Thin Finn features five pocket details, zip fly, signature contrasting orange stitching throughout, raw copper trims and organic cotton pocket linings. Icon Red is the latest jean in an over-dyed finish which first launched in Fall 2012 with Icon Orange. The jean became available on Friday December 14 at Atrium online and Atrium Broadway and are priced at $199. What do you think of them? Will any of you be going out and purchasing these exclusives?
For this months styling post for SSENSE, I wanted to change it around and do something for the guys. I usually style a lot of ladies looks, but I love men’s fashion just as much as I do women’s, so I had fun creating this casual look around a pair of Nudie Tight Long John jeans. I chose these jeans for the base of the outfit as they are such a classic raw denim colour which goes with anything and Nudie always provide a great fit, in my opinion.
I decided to pair the jeans with a Marc by Marc Jacobs Heather Grey Leather Trimmed Thompson Sweatshirt, some Common Project Low Tops in Burgundy, a Neil Barrett Burgundy Wool Knit Beanie and a Maison Martin Margiela Brass Spiral Ring.
Burgundy is always my favourite colour for Winter and I think it looks just as good on men as it does on women, if not better, so that’s why I added some colour to the look with the sneakers and beanie. The sweatshirt is also another favourite of mine, when I saw it I could definitely envision many outfits as it’s such a simple yet beautiful piece of clothing. Grey marl is very versatile and I think the black leather detailing makes it that little bit more structured so it looks more smart than casual. I added the ring in just as a finishing touch, but I know male jewellery is great for some and not for others, so of course it’s optional. Would you wear a look like this?
Joel Madden was spotted leaving the Andy Lecompte Salon after getting his hair color touched up in Los Angeles, California. He wore a double denim look for the appointment. Joel chose to pair together a Nudie Denim Vest (which I think is their Terry Jacket in Coated Black that has the sleeves cut off) with a pair of Hysteric Glamour Cowboy jeans.
It’s been a while since we got a sighting of Hysteric Glamour jeans and it is well overdue. I think their washes are pretty amazing. I also like the details like the studs at the rim of the pocket. You can click here to purchase Nudie at SSENSE.

This post was really fun this month as I got to choose my top 5 picks from SSENSE! I chose 3 jeans, 1 pair of shoes and 1 bag. I also included a pair of jeans for the guys so they didn’t get left out! We wanted to do something a little different with our sponsor for this month, so choosing 5 favourite pieces from the entire website made a nice change. I think it’s fun to showcase a varied selection of pieces every now and then, than have a styling post each time.
For my choices, I chose the rag & bone jeans because I love waxed black skinny jeans! Those are one of my favourite styles and combining the fabric with the triple hipper zips and ankles zips just makes them perfect! I love these jeans! I also fell in love with the Giuseppe Zanotti heels as soon as I saw them! Burgundy suede is a huge weakness of mine and the style of them is amazing. I can imagine them looking perfect with dark wash skinny jeans.
I chose the Nudie Jeans Thin Finn’s because they are one of Nudie Jeans’ most popular cuts and I liked the wash. Since it’s summer, it’s nice to have a mid/lighter wash for more casual wear and these seemed like the perfect choice! I was then smitten by the Proenza Schouler wallet in Lime. I am a big fan of the neon trend, especially in yellow, so this is just the cutest piece to own! Finally, I went for some coloured denim and chose the purple IRO skinnies. I like the fact that they are not block colour, they are washed and faded just like regular blue denim and I think that makes them fun! So these are my top 5 picks from SSENSE, what are some of your favourite pieces?
