MOTHER is all about the details. Whether it be their many variations of the frayed hem to the exposed button fly, the brand just loves to have fun with denim while still embracing the essence of the fabric.
For their new Bruiser in Disorderly, they have gone a bit covert to keep classicism and versatility. In the wrist of the sleeve, you can expect to read “MOTHER” and “LOVE YOU BEST” in a thread that has the most subtle contrast. The details are right on the embroidery trend and adds to the look while making a statement in the most quiet way. Yet it still speaks volumes. It is always the subtle details that just make us all that more amazed.
I can definitely see them taking this even further, incorporating them into other pieces of their collection. It would be an amazing detail for a distressed white pair in a tonal thread. Ashley Madekwe arrived at Le Jardin club in Hollywood with her parents for a night out in Los Angeles, California a couple of days ago.
Ashley wore her MOTHER Hustler Fray in Smoke Em with an off the shoulder white shirt and some red heeled mules. The cropped flares trend is absolutely huge now and we are seeing it everywhere. I’ve tried it myself and I can’t say it works for me unfortunately with my short legs, but the taller ladies are rocking it! Buy MOTHER at Shopbop.com.

If there is one brand that loves to experiment with styles, it is MOTHER. They first introduced the Stunner a few seasons back and since then they have taken the style to new territory by adding a frayed hem and many washes. But they have figured out how to keep the style feeling fresh and that is to intermix the cut with one of their new signatures, the Ankle Step Fray.
The addition of the uneven hem reads summer, yet gives a feeling of New Wave to it. It is one that I can see styled with slippers for a chic french feel or a pair of sandals to embrace the summer vibes that they give off. How will you style these jeans? I love that MOTHER took the details of these jeans to a full on ’70s look. I find that adding the detail of the top stitching at the outer seam really makes the style. It adds fluidity to the cut as it carries this vintage attitude to it. How many of you are fans of this cut? You can click here to purchase a similar style by MOTHER from REVOLVE.
