MiH Jeans have just announced their new collaboration with Goop to create the perfect blue jean; The Marrakesh Jean in a limited edition blue denim called Real Blue. Originally produced in the 70’s, the Marrakesh is one of MiH’s most iconic cuts (as you probably already know) staying true to the original with a nostalgic kick flare and jet front pockets. This limited-edition collaboration is exclusively available to buy at Goop only.
Chloe Lonsdale, founder and creative director of MiH Jeans, says: ‘It’s been really exciting to design a special jean for goop as I’m completely addicted to their advice on life and all things lovely and it is a great match for MiH. The perfect blue jean is a wardrobe essential and this style will last a lifetime.’
Goop was originally founded by Gwyneth Paltrow in 2008 to share all of life’s positives. Gwyneth began curating the best of lifestyle to help her readers save time, simplify and feel inspired. Through years of seeking out the best of everything for their readers, the Goop Collection has developed from Goop’s increasing passion for collaboration and design; through the desire to apply the same discerning philosophy of their publication to the products that they are now creating.
The second collaboration in this curated series is indispensable to any modern woman: the perfect blue jean. “We love our MiH Marrakesh Jean in perfect blue denim: soft, timeless and flattering. We left them free from any distress for you to break them in naturally over time to achieve your own personal look and wash,” says Goop. So what do you think of the perfect blue jean?
Since Summer has just arrived on our doorsteps, the denim jacket trend is in full swing. Celebs from Jessica Alba and Alessandra Ambrosio to Cameron Diaz and Katie Holmes have all been caught rocking their denim jackets and they have all chosen varied styles. Diana Agron opted for a white take on the trend while Demi Lovato toughened her look up with some spikes at the shoulders. Alessandra Ambrosio chose a cropped sleeve look while Keira Knightley picked a stone wash option. Mila Kunis, Katie Holmes, Jessica Alba and Cameron Diaz on the other hand, opted for the classic blues ranging from mid to dark.
I own quite a few denim jackets myself and I wear them as frequently as I can. The best thing about them is their versatility. You can pair them with your jeans as long as you pick a different colour denim, so you don’t have to sacrifice your love for jeans at all. If you do want to switch it up however, you can easily throw one over a floral dress in the day time or team it with a pair of printed or coloured pants. The denim jacket is a basic essential that is always a must have in my opinion.
Below I have chosen 18 denim jackets, all in a variety and variation so there is something for everyone. I have selected 6 premium denim styles from the likes of J Brand, Rag & Bone etc, but I’ve also chosen 6 more affordable options from stores like Topshop, Mango and more and to make things more bold I have chosen 6 fun denim jackets in neons, prints and colours from brands like Current/Elliott, Textile Elizabeth and James, Topshop and others! January Jones puts gas in her car before heading on her way to run errands. Earlier in the week, January attended the MET Ball wearing a stunning yellow Versace dress.
While back in LA, she wore another pair of MiH jeans. She switched it up and wore a pair of Tokyo Stripy pants, which are a more relaxed slim leg pair. The stripe pattern is sort of reminiscent of seersucker and it makes these great for summer. You can buy them online from MiH for $194.
MiH recently did a collaboration of classic shirts with Net-A-Porter. Everyone needs that perfect shirt to pair with their jeans, don’t they? They have a style for every style preference that will sure be worn numerous times when they are owned. The fabrics range from silk to chambray. Which is a pretty big gap, but I am sure that they are all as soft as silk and no difference would be noticed.
My favorite styles would have to be the Birkin and the Silk Oversized Shirt. I think those two are just so classic. They also have styles that are more fun like the Circle Chambray shirt above and the Crepe Ferret Shirt. These are sure to be popular with all the MiH fans and you can get a piece (or pieces) for yourself at Net-A-Porter by clicking here.
