Elle MacPherson in MET
Elle MacPherson posed for photos at the PAD private preview of the 2011 Pavilion of Art & Design in London, England a few days ago. It looks like she went for a more natural look as she’s barely wearing any make up.
Elle wore one of her favourite brands, MET Jeans. This time she opted for their Elah Eco Pelle jeans in Liquid Black. I’m a huge fan of the MET Eco Pelle faux leather material and I have a couple of pairs in the matte black but I love these shiny ones! They look really good on her. I love that it’s an all black outfit too but it works well, all of the pieces are noticed as individuals because of the textures and cuts.
MET Jeans Fall/Winter 2011
MET Jeans have some great information on their new Fall/Winter 2011 runway looks. I have included a select few images from the runway show in the gallery below for the women.
For their basics, MET has taken its basic line back to the essence of a great pair of jeans – a perfect fit and high quality denim. The traditional five pocket jeans are presented in regular, flared, boyfriend and skinny fits, and the colour palette, mostly blue tones, ranges from classic denim blue to faded. The overall look is completed with simple sweatshirts, tees and accessories.
MET’s super-skinny models from the X-fit range are made to fit perfectly in all the right places. Jeans are presented in a broad choice of washes, with lots of grey shades included for AW11. And to give the line a little bit of “attitude” there’s lots of zips, star prints and biker knees. Denim embellished with crystals and chains, alongside metallic knitwear, make up the Gioie e Dolori line for AW11. Studs, skulls and mouldings inspired by bikers, give the line a rebellious edge.
Their Unique collection has a Winter Bulk theme. Embellishments of wool, patchwork denim and fur, alongside zips, studs and leather give the pieces in the line individuality. Denim is presented in new resin-washes with coffee-coloured taints.
The Miami Cocktail AW11 line showcases glamorous yet comfortable and practical pieces. Studs, stars, rhinestones and precious jewels make MET’s Miami Cocktail easily transformable from day to night – in perfect Ocean Drive style! And to finish off there are spots of red, in a mostly blue palette, adding an extra bit of glamour to the line.
“Wrap up and warm up” is the theme for Era Glaciale AW11, and this is clearly evident in the recurring cashmere, mohair and fur throughout the line. For hoods and jackets, lapin inserts are contrasted with nylon and taffeta. Jeans are mainly high-waist with clean washes, available in dark shades of blue, grey, and black.
They also have their new line, the Chino & Friends collection which I made a blog post about last week. If you missed it, you can see it here. I do love MET Jeans a lot, they have some amazing fits and they are really skinny and cut quite small so definitely be prepared to have a ‘slim fitting skinny jean’ if you buy their denim!
Chino & Friends by MET
MET Denim, the wonderful Italian brand loved by Elle MacPherson and more, has just announced the launch of their new collection, Chino & Friends. The line is part of their Autumn/Winter 2011 collection.
Chinos, as the name of the new line implies, is at the heart of the capsule collection – a garment that has undergone considerable transformation over the years: from a constituent part of American military uniform to a must-have in any civilian wardrobe, favoured for its practicality and discreet elegance. In creating Chinos & Friends, MET has taken the culture of denim, with its extensive range of fits and washes, and applied it to create a new concept for chinos, developed in multiple fits with specific research on improving comfort and durability of the fabrics.
To complete the look, there are the friends: jackets, shirts and accessories including shoes, hats, belts and scarves. Chinos & Friends offers distinctively feminine and sophisticated pieces with particular attention to fit, choice of materials, treatments and washes – a MET jeans trademark. Chinos are presented in an array of colours and fabrics including dyed gabardine, satin, tricotine and denim. The fits range from straight and slim to high–waisted and cropped, enhanced with leather trimmings and stud detailing at the waist line, pockets and cuffs. All designs are Made in Italy like usual. I can’t wait to see what they come out with, I love Chinos! You can find out more online on their website here.
Elle MacPherson in MET
Elle Macpherson looked busy on her phone after she took her children to play polo at the Richmond Polo Club in London, England a couple of days ago.
Even though Elle was around horse stables and muddy fields, she still looked amazing and dressed up! Usually people wouldn’t think of dressing in decent clothes to go to places like this but Elle is always so put together! She was wearing a pair of MET K-Fit skinny jeans, which fit her like a glove, with a black leather jacket and boots. I love those boots! I think they look really good! Does anyone know what brand they are?
