MET Jeans Fall/Winter 2011

MET Jeans have some great information on their new Fall/Winter 2011 runway looks. I have included a select few images from the runway show in the gallery below for the women.

For their basics, MET has taken its basic line back to the essence of a great pair of jeans – a perfect fit and high quality denim. The traditional five pocket jeans are presented in regular, flared, boyfriend and skinny fits, and the colour palette, mostly blue tones, ranges from classic denim blue to faded. The overall look is completed with simple sweatshirts, tees and accessories.

MET’s super-skinny models from the X-fit range are made to fit perfectly in all the right places. Jeans are presented in a broad choice of washes, with lots of grey shades included for AW11. And to give the line a little bit of “attitude” there’s lots of zips, star prints and biker knees. Denim embellished with crystals and chains, alongside metallic knitwear, make up the Gioie e Dolori line for AW11. Studs, skulls and mouldings inspired by bikers, give the line a rebellious edge.

Their Unique collection has a Winter Bulk theme. Embellishments of wool, patchwork denim and fur, alongside zips, studs and leather give the pieces in the line individuality. Denim is presented in new resin-washes with coffee-coloured taints.

The Miami Cocktail AW11 line showcases glamorous yet comfortable and practical pieces. Studs, stars, rhinestones and precious jewels make MET’s Miami Cocktail easily transformable from day to night – in perfect Ocean Drive style! And to finish off there are spots of red, in a mostly blue palette, adding an extra bit of glamour to the line.

“Wrap up and warm up” is the theme for Era Glaciale AW11, and this is clearly evident in the recurring cashmere, mohair and fur throughout the line. For hoods and jackets, lapin inserts are contrasted with nylon and taffeta. Jeans are mainly high-waist with clean washes, available in dark shades of blue, grey, and black.

They also have their new line, the Chino & Friends collection which I made a blog post about last week. If you missed it, you can see it here. I do love MET Jeans a lot, they have some amazing fits and they are really skinny and cut quite small so definitely be prepared to have a ‘slim fitting skinny jean’ if you buy their denim!
