James Franco was seen doing some promotion for his new movie 127 Hours at the Toronto Film Festival. He chose to wear the Levi’s Heath jeans in Revival paired with their Austin Western Shirt to promote the new film. James Franco is one of my favorite actors. Not only because of his movies but that he actually puts his career on the back-burner to go to school. I think that is amazing of him.
I also can’t wait to see this movie. I remember hearing about this story a few years back and it really interested me. It is crazy that Aron Ralston (who the movie is based on) was able to withstand being trapped inside the canyon for that long. Click here to purchase these jeans at Levi’s for $98 and here to purchase his shirt for $59.50.
Zac Efron is always one to appreciate his fans! He was out and about in Sydney, Australia yesterday and stopped to sign some autographs for his devoted followers. Zac has been touring the world lately as part of his promotion for his new movie Charlie St. Cloud. I always wondered if actors find the touring/promoting part of movies fun or really tiring? It can’t be easy jetting off to different countries every other day, imagine the jet lag!
Zac was wearing one of his new favourite brand of jeans, Levi’s. He chose their Matchstick slim fit jeans in Transform wash which he paired with white flats, a dark blue slim fitting tee and his trademark aviators. I think he looks great here! It’s nice to see him wearing his tighter jeans again as he was opting for more of a looser fit. I am also really liking the new beard of his, it’s definitely grown on me over the past couple of weeks. Well not literally as it’s growing on him not me, haha! Buy these jeans at Levi’s for only $98.
Ashlee Simpson has been making the rounds at New York Fashion Week. First she served as a model for sister, Jessica’s new denim line. More recently, she was snapped at Max Azria’s runway show. She walked the step and repeat, while posing for pictures with Max Azria.
Ashlee wore a pair of flared jeans, a leather jacket and leopard print heels. Ashlee’s jeans are by Levi’s. She’s been wearing a lot of the brand while in New York. While I think this outfit encapsulates Ashlee’s laid back rocker style, I don’t like it at all. I think it’s far too casual for Fashion Week and I don’t like the way her jeans fit her, they look like they’re falling off her tiny frame!
So I thought for this weeks review, I would do something a little different and try a cut that I have never tried before. Levi’s sent these to me and I didn’t think I would like them at first as I haven’t really been a fan of the boyfriend skinny jeans but I was wrong! I have worn them about 6 times already and considering the amount of jeans I own, that’s a lot of times for me to wear a pair of jeans! Haha.
The fit of these jeans was something that surprised me actually, I always thought boyfriend skinny jeans would be really unflattering and more like carrot pants which I am definitely not a fan of, well at least I don’t think I am, I’ve never tried them but I imagine they would make my short legs even shorter. These Levi’s jeans are very roomy in the crotch area and the butt area which makes them incredibly comfy and easy to move in. That’s why I love them most for just running errands and going somewhere that I need comfort. They are also not too tight at the ankles which can make them look strangely out of proportion. The way these are cut is great and I am pretty sure, if I wanted to try this trend, I couldn’t have tried a better pair. This is also my first time trying Levi’s so I was quite happy to know I like them.
The wash is a very light medium wash, it’s got some very nice whiskering across the lap area and it’s got distressing patches on one of the knees, it definitely looks quite authentic, like an older pair of vintage Levi’s which have faded over the years. The denim is also very comfy! Since these are a sample I can’t actually tell you what they are made from as they have no tags, however they do feel stretchy and like a pure cotton denim so I would assume they have about 2% stretch to them and 98% cotton.
Speaking of Levi’s though, hopefully I am going to find a Curve ID jean that fits me! I tried the Demi curve and it was just a little too big in the legs and the Bold curve was no good at all as I don’t have that type of body shape. I haven’t tried the Slight curve but I know that one will be the one for me. I took the test on the Levi’s site and it matched me with that cut too so I can’t wait to review a pair of those for you!
