For this styling post I decided to choose the Ksubi Van Winkle jeans in Wild Dog (click here to purchase) for the men. I thought choosing black would be a great choice so I can add a print or different texture to the looks without it looking busy. For the two outfits, I went for casual looks for both Winter and Fall.
The first look, I’d say, is the Winter look. Each look revolves around the jeans, but when I saw these Opening Ceremony shoes I was trying to figure out how I can incorporate them into an outfit and still add different textures without it leaning towards a mess. The only option I could think of was to keep it monochrome. I didn’t want to pair the jeans with just a plain t shirt as I wanted to break up all of the black, so I chose this Tailgate Clothing Co. t shirt. To add some interesting detail without going overboard, I chose this Alexander McQueen coat as the combo of the leather and wool, I find, plays really well with the jeans and shoes.
For the Fall look, I wanted it to be casual and still be a look that you don’t have to change out of if you decide to go out for a dinner. I also didn’t want the look to be monochrome, like the previous. I paired the jeans with a J. Crew cardigan, Tailgate Clothing Co. t shirt, and some Opening Ceremony Desert Boots. The boots and cardigan together help smarten the look up, but being that it is a cardigan, you would still look comfortable. Like always you can click the names of each item to purchase them for yourself.
Liev Schreiber was spotted playing with his children at the park in New York. He wore a pair of Ksubi Gee Gee in Raw Rinse as he spun one of his sons around. I think these jeans are an amazing fit of Liev. I don’t think I have seen a better fitting pair on him. They are slim, but they have a great slouch throughout the leg.
I am happy to get a male sighting of Ksubi out. It is rare to get a sighting of Ksubi in general, but seeing a man in a pair is a lot more rare. You can click here to purchase Ksubi from their website.
The camouflage trend has been trickling in little by little the past couple of seasons, but this season it is hitting full force. Just because they are a print, it doesn’t mean they are lacking in details either. Brands such as Textile Elizabeth and James and Current/Elliott have incorporated zippers while April, May included seaming details. If you are looking for just a classic skinny in the print, they also have that.
The cool thing about this trend is that it is not limited to just jeans. Current/Elliott has also released their Biker Jacket in a denim camo that you can pair with any of your lightweight dress or even some jeans for the double denim look. There is also no limitation when it comes to color. Along with the classic fatigue green, brands such as Zara and Textile Elizabeth and James have also come out with pairs in blue as well as black and white. Which one’s do you fancy the most? Amanda Bynes was spotted trying to go on with her day unnoticed in New York. During her attempt she wore the Rag & Bone Jean Jacket w/Leather Sleeves in Bleach Out and a pair of Ksubi Spray On Jeans in Cobalt.
After seeing quite a few looks by Amanda, I noticed that her style is actually quite nice. She has had some off ones here and there, but she pulled them off. I think this is one of her better outfits. The fit of everything is really nice and the colors go really well together. What are your thoughts on Amanda’s new style? You can click here to purchase Rag & Bone at SINGER22 and here for her jeans from the Ksubi website for $219.95.
