Koral
Editors 8 Favourite Jeans
Each year I usually do my top picks when it comes to jeans. This includes the pairs I have been living in for months and the pairs that are my go to when it comes to denim! This time around I have about 8 pairs that I wear regularly and I have listed them below! You may notice that none of these include prints or patterns, they are all classics, except for one burgundy pair, but I also class them as very easy to wear and versatile.
1 – AG Adriano Goldschmied The Legging in 12 Years Dwight
These are my gorgeous AG Jeans that I bought from Shopbop a couple of months ago. I’m so glad I got them because I have been living in them ever since, they are my go to for a medium blue wash which is detailed and pretty. Every time I look at them I just get excited by how pretty the whiskering and fading is. They did an amazing job with these jeans and they are the best AG Jeans I have ever tried! Denim Review Update: Koral Los Angeles Skinny Jeans in Merlot
I wanted to do a bit of an update to my original Koral Los Angeles Skinny Jeans in Merlot review (which you can see here) as I have worn them numerous times over the past few months.
Weekend Going Out Look: Koral Los Angeles Skinny Jeans in Merlot
It’s my turn this week to style the weekend going out look and I have been really excited for this post! One of my favourite jeans are these Koral Los Angeles skinny jeans in Merlot that I got a few months ago as I find them so versatile and gorgeous! I dress them up or down and they work either way, so that’s why I wanted to include them in this weeks look.
This outfit is very much my style as it’s something that I would wear out. I always love adding colour and stand out pieces to my outfits as I find that dressing in dull colours or an outfit that’s mostly the same shade can get quite boring. This is just how my personality is though as people like Kate Moss can get away with the monochrome look day after day and make it work!
So, for this outfit, I paired the Koral jeans with a black blazer from River Island, a pewter/silver cami top from Mango, some Miss KG Arctic black suede ankle booties and an Anya Hindmarch pewter glitter clutch. I kept most of these pieces affordable from the high street as I know not everyone (myself included) can afford to splash out on expensive clothes that you would only wear a couple of times or less, so I tend to do a lot of my shopping (jeans not included) in places like Topshop and Zara which is much cheaper than designer, but still of better quality than most.
Overall though, I really love this look and am inspired to wear an outfit like this next time I go out to dinner or something similar. What do you think of the look? I feel like it’s really dressy, but it’s still a statement as the jeans are burgundy and you have elements of sparkle! I also much prefer pewter over silver as I feel it’s more classic, silver can be too bright and tacky sometimes when it comes to glitter, so pewter is a better shade to wear to keep it smart. New Denim Brand: Koral Los Angeles
Koral Los Angeles is a new line of premium denim which has just became available in retailers nationwide. Koral is the highly anticipated brainchild of David Koral along with his father Peter and partner Rick Crane, who built the premium denim market as we know it today with the launch of 7 For All Mankind. Koral was created to get back to the essence of what makes a great pair of jeans – quality material, refined finishing and flawless fit.
The brand is making its debut with a women’s denim collection for Fall 2012, featuring its signature “Lived In Length” line and an assortment of fashion pieces including coated and tinted denim as well as a graphic colourblock collection. A men’s line will launch for Spring 2013 as well and the price point for Koral jeans will be between $160-$240.
The Koral Los Angeles collection features an array of premium denim fabrics, many of them exclusive to the brand, that convey its founders’ passion and skill. The design team worked tirelessly with some of the country’s most renowned laundries to perfect a hand processing technique that will give each pair of jeans a unique, 3D--like artisan effect, complementing its flawless fits.
Creative director Marc Atlan, who has worked with fashion houses including Comme des Garcons, Helmut Lang, Tom Ford, and Mason Martin Margiela, lends his sleek aesthetic as evident in the collection’s fine attention to detail.
I think some of the styles are absolutely amazing! The cuts look perfect fitting and the classic blues look pretty. I also love some of the fun pieces like the coated teal and other brightly coloured jeans. What do you think of the new brand Koral?
