ISKO Formation of BLUE Installation

During the COTERIE trade show in New York City at the end of February, they announced the project ‘Formation of BLUE’ which is a movement fueled by the spirit of denim celebrating creativity and fashion innovation. BLUE is an installation at Fashion COTERIE, which featured inspirational designs from the F/W ’15 collections of global leaders in premium denim. The installation was presented February 23-25 at the Javits Center in collaboration with ISKOTM, a leader in innovative denim fabrics and technologies.

Each of the 25 brands showcased a hero style that best encapsulates their individual identity and their brands’ exploration into innovation and creativity. Brands that were featured in the 900-square-foot installation include Current/Elliott, Hudson, STROM, Siwy, Mavi, AG, and more. How cool is that? It’s such a shame I couldn’t have seen it!

“Denim continues as a key classification at COTERIE and retail. Our goal as the leading contemporary market is to create a platform with our branded partners to stimulate conversation and to inspire creativity,” says Tom Nastos, President/CEO of ENK International, a division of UBM Advanstar. “We are currently planning additional initiatives in 2015 to highlight innovations in denim and to collaborate with suppliers, brands, retailers and the editorial world. We are very excited for what the future can bring, and this upcoming show will be our first step.”

In addition to being the presenting sponsor, ISKOÔäó showcased three of their own key concepts – JeggingsÔäó, ReformÔäó, and BlueJymÔäó. Each pair of ISKOÔäó denim showcased innovation as they continue to lead the industry in fabric manufacturing, supplying global brands from J Brand to Alexander Wang the best quality denim available. You can see some of the photos in the gallery below, but I’d love to know if you got the chance to see this installation?
