Isabel Marant Fall/Winter 2011/2012

Isabel Marant has just walked in Paris and it was loaded with denim this Fall/Winter 2011/2012 season. Many pieces from jackets and jeans were made of the fabric. The color palette itself also seemed to be inspired by the fabric. There were tons of blues everywhere in this collection.

The bottoms came in denim, as well as suede, in blues, whites, faded blacks and tons of patchwork. I do find the slouchy skinny fit of them to be a bit awkward. I think it may be the rise, just an inch lower and I think the looks would have been a bit better. For this season Isabel was inspired by South Western Native Americans. I have really been into the Navajo/Pendleton prints lately and it is great that it is featured here Marant style. I also get a ski feel with the bulkiness from the boots and jackets. You can check out the collection below.
