Rachel McAdams chats with friends before getting scanned by security at the Staples Center. Rachel attended the St. Louis Blues vs. LA Kings game. While it seems like Rachel has been taking some time off from acting, she has 4 films listed both in pre- and post-production on IMDb, so hopefully we’ll see more of her on the big screen soon.

To the game, Rachel wore a pair of Hudson’s Ferris flap flare jeans in Legacy wash with an oversize poncho. I think this outfit is really cute on her and has a great 70′s style vibe, I’d love to see her out in these jeans again. You can buy Hudson jeans online at Hudson.com for $229.

Girls Night Out With Hudson Jeans

Hudson Jeans and Satine Boutique in Los Angeles partnered with One Voice organization to host a “Girl’s Night Out” shopping and social event, with 10% of the evening’s proceeds going to One Voice’s Scholars Program! The packed event was hosted by Entourage star Emmanuelle Chriqui and featured music by DJ Lindsay Liv, a braid and brow bar, gluten-free deserts, drinks and artwork by famed street-artist Aakash Nihalani!

Emmanuelle (who wore Hudson’s LouLou phosphorescent jeans and Ann Taylor Carly heels) was joined by Hudson CEO Peter Kim, Creative Director Ben Taverniti and Twilight star Peter Facineli.

“Hudson’s passion and involvement in helping needy children and families in our own backyard for the past decade led us to discover One Voice,” said Hudson Jeans CEO Peter Kim and creative director Ben Taverniti. “This organization is very dear to our heart and they have been a part of the Hudson family for the last five years.”

One Voice and its Scholars Program prepares low-income inner-city high school students from Los Angeles for academic excellence and assists in placing the students in top universities throughout the United States. An impressive 100% of One Voice Scholars gain admission to college and, even more amazingly, 95% graduate from college. Over 30% of the students then go on to Graduate School. Each student receives the following services, individualized to their needs, without any cost to the student: professional college advisement, personal counseling, SAT preparation courses, college essay instruction and tutoring, application and test fees, and parent counseling.

You can see some of the photos of the event in the gallery below. I think it turned out great and I’m glad it’s for a good cause. Emmanuelle looked amazing too, it’s good to see someone in their new LouLou style!

Miranda Kerr in Hudson

Miranda Kerr was spotted at LAX Airport arriving back in Los Angeles, California. She wore a pair of the Hudson Nico jeans in Coated Black. She paired them with a blazer, blue shirt, and a Balmain scarf. I like that Miranda still keeps it chic, even on a plane ride.

I love that Balmain scarf, I have since I first saw it. It was the first thing I noticed when I saw these pictures. I like that it is more of a tribal tie-dye print, than the gaudy chain and emblem that was featured in the past scarves. You can click here to purchase Hudson jeans at Shopbop.

Denim Review: Hudson Nico in Cherry

This weeks review is on a pair of Hudson Jeans Nico second skin skinnies in Cherry. I got sent these by the brand for reviewing which I am very grateful for, but I can’t say I like them as much as my other Nico’s that I have.

The Nico fit is one of their classic super skinny jeggings with a medium to a higher rise and flat back pockets. These don’t feature their signature pointed v flap on the back. I already went into detail before about the Hudson Nico (which you can read in this review here) so I wont repeat myself and bore you with that if you are a regular reader. In comparison to the Nico in Chelsea though, these do fit differently. The material is a blend of cotton and something called PES. I’m not exactly 100% sure what PES is, but it’s quite scratchy and stiff. I guess you could say it makes the denim feel thinner but stiffer at the same time and the inside of the denim, when it’s against your legs, feels quite rough actually. I find this material doesn’t make the Nico fit as nicely as it does in regular denim, it’s not as slim and fitted or as smooth, in my opinion.

The Cherry wash though is so pretty! It’s actually quite similar to my Joe’s Jeans in Geranium, but it’s got a more dusty and faded appearance, so it’s not as intense. It’s definitely a nice colour. I myself would have named it something like Watermelon or Strawberry though as it’s not as red or dark as cherries, so that might be a little confusing. The Watermelon colour that Hudson have is actually more like a pink colour, I guess that’s accurate as well for the shade. But this Cherry wash does literally go with anything, it’s not too bright and strong due to the faded dustiness that it has, so it doesn’t make you feel too conscious if you are afraid of colour, but at the same time it really brightens up your outfit.

Overall, I can definitely say these are not my favourite Nico’s due to the fabric content. My favourites are my Chelsea wash and then followed by the Scarlet Coated Red, so these would definitely not take the top spot unfortunately. I think though, if they made these in their normal classic denim, without the PES, they would be perfect! I would love to own all of the colours then! Hudson have 6 available and they all vary. There is Cherry, Watermelon, Tangerine, Lemon, Berry (mint green) and Lavender. I think the Lavender and Lemon are beautiful colours! Since I do have sensitive skin though, I think a lot of you probably wouldn’t notice the fabric content, but for those of you who itch with polyester etc, I think you might notice the PES like I do. Other than all of that, they are very pretty, I’m just a little sad about the cotton blend because they could have been perfect for me! Buy these jeans online at HudsonJeans.com for $154.

Eva Logoria was spotted on the set of Desperate Housewives in Glendale, California. I didn’t know that they were still taping the show. I keep seeing commercials that the series finale is coming soon. I wonder what episode this will be?

Eva wore a pair of Hudson Nico jeans in Lemon while she kept warm between takes. I would have thought that these jeans would have been longer on Eva. She is one that is very petite. She is on set…so they most likely are altered. You can click here to purchase these jeans at Piperlime for $154.

Press Day Preview: Hudson Jeans Autumn/Winter 2012

I attended the press day for the new Autumn/Winter 2012 collection from Hudson Jeans yesterday in London. There was only a small selection of jeans, but the ones that were available were amazing! For the women there were cords, velvet, crystal shine waxing, galaxy print, floral print, the phosphorescent striped jeans and some regular coloured denim. I really loved the floral print in the image below and the pink and blue jeans above, they were very pretty! I am also loving the corduroy.

For the guys (the last 3 images in the gallery) they had a nice selection as well. They had deep dark blues, blacks and whites with some burgundy coated jeans mixed in. The dark blue denim jacket on the right was very nice too! I can see that being a classic statement piece.

So what do you all think of the collection? I would definitely like to own so many of these jeans! I’m glad the brights have transitioned into next season as well, it’s nice to know they were not just for Spring/Summer! I do find these to be jewel toned and rich in comparison to the pastel shades that are out now.
