Katie Holmes was caught heading to a photoshoot at Chelsea Piers in New York with daughter Suri. She wore a pair of the Habitual Alice Shoe Cut jeans in Adore with an A.L.C. sweater and her Marant boots. I like the straight-leg fit of these jeans. They do what the name says, show off the shoes.
I am also a fan of the sweater. At first I thought it had a subtle gingham print to it, but noticed that it is just a sheer sweater and Katie is just wearing a shirt underneath. I think every piece individually is great. The overall look though is thrown off for me a bit with the shirt. I think a plain white long-sleeve tee would have worked a lot better underneath.

After seeing a void in great craftsmanship in the men’s department, Habitual decided to join that market themselves. The fits in the collection range from everything from skinny to the boot-cut, as well as trousers and jackets.
The detail in the jeans will be classic Habitual like the women’s style, like the Glory Cross. They will also add a few other details to make sure that they stand out against the others. You will see a white contrast stitching that stretches up to the waistband. As well as both custom button and zipper flies. The detail is also not just one dimensional. You will find a leather patch stamped with the Habitual logo tucked neatly underneath the top seam of the pocket, along with a white bartack on the back center belt loop. My favorite detail would be the pocket sacks. The words written inside are just amazing. Stay tuned for when these are available.
Habitual showed me this really cool video about how they make their famous ‘Glory’ pocket on their jeans. You get to see exactly how the workers put the pocket together and how it’s made. It’s really interesting. As you can see, the pockets are all individually handcrafted by the workers in the LA factory. What do you think of the video? You can view more about the video on the Habitual blog here.
