On Wednesday 10th October last week, celebrities attended the exclusive cocktail party hosted by Elin Kling to celebrate the launch of the limited edition Elin Kling For Marciano capsule collection at Home Studio Inc. in New York City.
For the brand’s first ever collaboration, Elin (the Swedish born street style icon and fashion entrepreneur) created a limited edition women’s capsule collection that will be sold at the Marciano retail stores worldwide and also select GUESS stores around the world, as well as leading department stores. The new capsule collection will also be sold online at EKforMarciano.com beginning October 22nd.
I have included all of the denim pieces which Elin designed, along with a preview of some of the other items in the collection. I love the chambray shirt and I think those jeans above are really interesting. The chunky burgundy and mustard knits are also a favourite of mine! What do you think of the capsule collection?
Vanessa Hudgens was spotted going to lunch with boyfriend Austin Butler early last month. She wore a pair of GUESS Eva Vintage Floral jeans in Black. I think these jeans are interesting. Having the word vintage really does go well with the actual appearance of the jeans. They look like they could be from the 70′s with the placement and choice of floral print.
I do think Vanessa styled them pretty well though. Having the jeans cuffed would have helped the outfit look a bit more put together though in my opinion. The black version is no longer available, but you can click here to purchase the white pair EXCLUSIVELY at Bloomingdales for $110.40.
Kasia Struss graced the August cover of Vogue Mexico wearing double denim; double Rag & Bone Denim to be exact. That’s not the only look though. To coincide with the cover, she wore a ton of the versatile fabric in an editorial.
I love seeing editorials with full on denim. What I find amazing about this editorial is that it makes me think of old Calvin Klein ads with the grey background and big hair. You can see more of Kasia’s looks featuring denim by Zadig & Voltaire, Artisan De Luxe, Guess, and more below.
Twilight star Ashley Greene graces the cover of the August 2012 Denim Issue of Nylon Magazine. On the cover she is wearing a pair of denim shorts by Element with a Vintage Blazer by Moschino and a T-Shirt and Bandanna by What Goes Around Comes Around. During the 4 page spread within the magazine, Ashley posed in more denim! She wore a shirt and a pair of jeans by Denim & Dupply Ralph Lauren and some shorts from Topshop and Guess. I love the styling for this editorial! I’ve also included some highlights below from the interview.
On her past modeling days:
“I knew I was never going to be a supermodel. I mean, I’m 5’5″—it’s not going to happen unless you’re Kate Moss, which I’m not. And until you hit a certain level in the modeling world, it’s really rough: You’re never tall enough, you’re never thin enough, there’s always another girl. It just wasn’t for me anymore.”
On her instant Twilight stardom:
“Right when I was cast, my IMDb STARmeter [a chart that tracks actors based on how many searches are done on them] went through the roof—all of ours did, and we hadn’t even done anything yet! Now I have to remind myself that not everything is always going to be like that.”
On dating and the paparazzi:
“Imagine going out with a girl one night, then the next day she’s like, ‘We’re hooking up! This is serious! It’s this overload of someone saying, ‘This is what this is, even though we’ve only been on one date and I don’t even know your middle name.’ Everything has a title immediately.”
