G-star Jeans
G-Star Opens First Denim Store On Rodeo Drive
G-Star Raw is celebrating the opening of their latest store on Tuesday, December 6th. The store will be opening on Rodeo Drive and will be the first denim brand to open a store on the infamous shopping district. It will be the third G-Star store in the LA area and the largest.
The opening will be a nod to G-Star’s philosophy of collaborating with like-minded people. It will be a night of fashion, art, music and film. Mark Ronson will be giving an in-store performance, along with Anton Corbjin, who will be showcasing rare photographs from his portfolio. G-Star will also debut Raw Objects and Curiosities, a gallery which has re-purposed denim as an art pieces.

G-Star/Elle Women’s Night
During the last week of October, G-Star hosted Women’s Night in its monobrand stores worldwide. From London to New York to Tokyo, G-Star stores turned into a fashion experience where women were advised on the perfect jeans while enjoying music, drinks and beauty.
The Women’s Night in Soho attracted a group of over 150 fashionable ladies. Besides shopping for the perfect denim, women received “Skinny Jeans” Salon Effects manicures by Sally Hansen, hair touch ups by Warren Tricomi and make-up by Bobbi Brown. Stylists were on hand to walk guests through G-Star’s staple 3301 basic denim and the brand’s latest 3D denim evolutions. Guests also shopped and explored G-Star’s RAW Essentials and Correct Line offerings while DJ Chelsea Leyland set the sound for the evening.
Elle’s Market Editor Jade Frampton was the evening’s host and Ida Kay from G-Star is pictured above. I was invited to the event but unfortunately living in England meant I couldn’t go! I would have loved to meet Ida, she’s so nice! The pictures look great though. Did any of you go?

The G-Star Women’s Night concept provides guests with a backstage feeling in a fun environment for hair and make-up touch-ups, manicures, and hors d’oeuvres, while receiving professional styling tips to help them find the perfect denim. The G-Star style for women is defined by the combination of opposing elements and influences – tough & feminine, denim & silk, raw & chic – to create a unique, strong look that makes them feel confident.

Jesse Metcalfe in G-Star
Jesse Metcalfe shared a meal with his friends at Kings Road Cafe in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, California last week. He was then snapped by the paps leaving the cafe and heading off to run some errands.
Jesse wore a pair of G-Star 3301 Slim jeans in Cleve Denim with some white Converse and a white v-neck tee. I always find the simplicity of this look on guys really nice, it’s always great when the clothes fit well, especially the jeans, but it’s a style that looks like they didn’t even try. Jesse most likely didn’t and just threw the clothes on but because of the fits being slim, it works well. I really like these jeans on him too, the wash is nice and they are flattering. During this month of September, G-Star RAW begins the global distribution of over 4 million copies of its 5th RAW Magazine. Alongside the print version, the denim brand has also created a RAW Magazine for iPad! This interactive digital version includes video content on most of the topics discussed in the RAW Magazine and showcases more images.
“The RAW Magazine pulls readers closer into G-Star’s world. In the current edition, G-Star tells you more about its new and unorthodox brand face Vincent Gallo; talks to the daughter of iconic modernist Jean Prouvé about G-Star’s collaboration with Vitra; shows the must-have jackets for the season; and gives you a closer look into the G-Star women’s collections.”
