Since Summer has just arrived on our doorsteps, the denim jacket trend is in full swing. Celebs from Jessica Alba and Alessandra Ambrosio to Cameron Diaz and Katie Holmes have all been caught rocking their denim jackets and they have all chosen varied styles. Diana Agron opted for a white take on the trend while Demi Lovato toughened her look up with some spikes at the shoulders. Alessandra Ambrosio chose a cropped sleeve look while Keira Knightley picked a stone wash option. Mila Kunis, Katie Holmes, Jessica Alba and Cameron Diaz on the other hand, opted for the classic blues ranging from mid to dark.
I own quite a few denim jackets myself and I wear them as frequently as I can. The best thing about them is their versatility. You can pair them with your jeans as long as you pick a different colour denim, so you don’t have to sacrifice your love for jeans at all. If you do want to switch it up however, you can easily throw one over a floral dress in the day time or team it with a pair of printed or coloured pants. The denim jacket is a basic essential that is always a must have in my opinion.
Below I have chosen 18 denim jackets, all in a variety and variation so there is something for everyone. I have selected 6 premium denim styles from the likes of J Brand, Rag & Bone etc, but I’ve also chosen 6 more affordable options from stores like Topshop, Mango and more and to make things more bold I have chosen 6 fun denim jackets in neons, prints and colours from brands like Current/Elliott, Textile Elizabeth and James, Topshop and others! I’m actually not suprised to see Tulisa in the brand, I think it suits her very well as G-Star seems to be her sort of style. I haven’t heard much from her lately after her solo single, I wonder what she’s up to?

G-Star has launched their new Fall/Winter 2012 campaign featuring one of the world’s top models, Arizona Muse, and actor Caleb Landry Jones (X-Men: First Class and Contraband) shot by Anton Corbijn. You can read both Arizona’s and G-Star’s Global Brand Director’s view on the campaign.
Arizona on G-Star: “I have seen the G-Star advertising campaigns before and they’re all really cool. I love how they’re RAW.”
Shubhankar Ray, Global Brand Director of G-Star about the collaboration with Arizona: “We are proud to work with Arizona Muse; she has become her name being today’s muse of fashion. With her stand out presence and distinctive look, we felt she was a raw and real character to feature in our new campaign photographed by Anton Corbijn.”
G-Star just announced their 3rd Q-Store which opened in Lennox Square mall in Atlanta, GA this month. G-Star opened the shop in collaboration with Atlanta’s Standard Boutique.
G-Star’s Q-Store concept started in 2008, which allowed retailers to create a shop-in-shop concept incorporating G-Star designed furniture and apparel within a minimum area of 200 square feet. There are currently six Q-Systems operating across the US. Based on the profitable execution of the Q-System; G-Star further evolved this concept, introducing the Q-Store. The Q-Store is comprised of 50-65% G-Star merchandise with the remaining retail space comprised of non-competing brands.
CEO of North America, Stuart Millar explained the choice to collaborate with Standard, “Standard are one of G-Star’s oldest partners in the US and we have built an extremely positive relationship which has led us to this point. G-Star and Standard now have an agreed growth strategy in place and we’re excited to watch this unfold in the short term future.”
