Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick were pictured yesterday morning walking their two daughters, Marion and Tabitha, to School in the rain in New York City.
I remember when were getting a sighting of Sarah every day here on DenimBlog, but she seems to be a bit more low key lately. She did opt to wear her G-Star Boyfriend Jeans with her trademark cuff though, paired with sneakers, a leather jacket and striped tee. We rarely ever spot the female celebs out in G-Star, so this is a great change!

This season, G-Star RAW celebrated its 25th anniversary with a premium denim range called The Retrospective Range. The brand has re-introduced innovative denim from its early years and updated it for today, including a heavyweight 25oz raw denim and a 25 years-of-wear wash. For women, three jeans have been created based on the classic men’s designs, but reworked with refined stitching. The fits are tapered and slightly cropped to reveal the feminine ankle. You can check out the fits below!
Authentic denim workwear, since 1994 – The Lumber is inspired by an early miner’s pant that would have been worn over trousers as protection. Workwear inspired details such as a cinch-back and enlarged back pockets are prominent in the design.
Functional workwear, since 1995 – Inspired by a carpenter’s pant and translated in denim, the Faeroes is built to be tough and long wearing. Two layers of denim are constructed into each knee. Traditionally stuffing was put between the layers to protect the knees when working.
The birth of 3D denim, since 1996 – The G-Star Elwood was created by G-Star head designer Pierre Morisset in 1996. The design is inspired by the weathered pants of a passing motorcyclist. With this very first 3D denim design, G-Star mapped out a new way of thinking about denim.
The Retrospective Range jeans for women are made of Red Listing denim, and finished with refined stitching. A ‘dip and dry’ finish gives this crisp Red Listing fabric a soft hand-feel. What do you think of them?
Tyson Beckford posed on the red carpet while attending the GQ Super Bowl Party. He wore a pair of 7 For All Mankind Slimmy straight leg jeans in lightweight black coated indigo with a G-Star leather jacket.
I really like this outfit on Tyson. I find that we don’t see too many guys wearing coated jeans, but I think they’re just as easy to dress up or wear casually, for men, as they are for women. I also like that he paired them with a leather jacket; usually I think coated denim and leather can look too over the top, but I think the sheen on the jeans is subtle enough that it plays nicely with the jacket.
G-Star has announced their latest collaboration, with singer Pharrell Williams. G-Star has teamed up with Bionic Yarn, an eco-friendly textile company for which Pharrell serves as the creative director. Bionic Yarn will incorporate recycled plastics found in the ocean into their textiles to create the G-Star “RAW for the Oceans” collection.
Pharrell explained that “Working with G-Star was an obvious choice, because they have a legacy of pushing the boundaries of fashion and denim forward. Bionic Yarn is a company built around performance, and denim is the perfect category to show the world what Bionic Yarn can do. Everyone has jeans in their closet.” The collection will be available starting August 15th. Check out the video for more information on the collaboration.
